Sounds like he could possibly reveal some of the lingering questions from Force awakens the were completely ignored in TLJ.

How about J.J. take a page from the old TV show Dallas .... the time when the entire season after a character had died ended up being a dream .... TLJ could have just been Finn's coma dream and Ep 9 start out with him waking up from the sleep we last saw him in in Ep. 7.

This solves ALOT of problems...

In EpIX: Finn sees Rose mopping the deck of the Nebulon-B and she looks up at him and kind of half-smiles; and he just about faces and walks away.

Luke is still alive.

Rey needs to be trained in the Force after all.

Canto Bight doesn't really exist. (i know, i know)

The purple-haired idiot was just an upjumped ensign, and Admiral Ackbar was still in charge.

Poe couldn't do space-drifting in his X-wing.

Lasers still shot straight and didn't curve like cannonballs.

Ships are still prohibited from hyper-jumping into other ships.

Space-Bombs need to have some kind of thrust-ejection mechanism.

...

This just gets better and better.

I had this idea already. JJ, not too late for rewrites if needed...

"Finn is going to wake up in a space hospital and tell everyone about this weird dream where Rey and Kylo were awkwardly face timing each other without phones and Luke Skywalker Scooby-Doo'ed everyone by using a projector to trick everyone with ghost Luke.

Then they all laugh and go find Luke who then trains Rey in all the ways of the Jedi over the course of 8 years and eventually take down 7 gorilla walkers with just their lightsabers and force explosions."

I know he did and released the notes to the cuts. Some people have tried to do it and I have watched them but really want to watch his cut.

Yeah, I just haven't been feeling the non-stop "everything sucks" vibe lately, and by lately I mean since last August, and I can't get into "Resistance".

On the plus side, got some great pics of my kids meeting Chewie and BB-8 at Star Tours in November, and had 2 First Order stormtroopers salute me when they saw my KS2O T-shirt at Hollywood Studios with the Imperial logo on it.

As far as I can tell, Rian went to get fitted for a suit once and thought "I should put this in a movie"

We're drawing a very obvious connection to Luke's training and to Dagobah here, obviously. And so the idea was if the up top is the light, down underneath is the darkness. The whole Smuggler's Run ride, exploring the Falcon freely, the role-play aspect of it, looks amazing.

This thing is gonna be the best thing Disney has ever done.

With Rebels having ended, I'm not sure what Filoni is actually working on now. I mean, I know he created or had s hand in creating Resistance but I don't know how what his level of involvement is now since he probably has been dealing with the upcoming season of TCW for the streaming platform.

But Resistance lacks something that TCW and Rebels both had, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Compelling characters maybe?
