Finn is going to wake up in a space hospital and tell everyone about this weird dream where Rey and Kylo were awkwardly face timing each other without phones and Luke Skywalker Scooby-Doo'ed everyone by using a projector to trick everyone with ghost Luke.
Then they all laugh and go find Luke who then trains Rey in all the ways of the Jedi over the course of 8 years and eventually take down 7 gorilla walkers with just their lightsabers and force explosions.

why not, it's better than what we have so far from the movies.

would explain a lot in Ep 7 that wasn't resolved in ep 8.

Further, if they really wanted to make it different than the original trilogy, they'd have both Rey and Kylo die since you can't just have the light without the dark. This may be a stretch for Disney to kill off a girl hero, but why not be a bit proactive

I don't give a crap what they call it... Just bring Luke back physically. I also don't give a crap what explanation of force powers they use either. Yoda made physical contact with Luke in the last one... just make it happen.

Bring him back... Give us one proper fight scene with him being completely bad ass... And then he can become one with the force... again.

You're really setting yourself up for a fall, man. I mean... not impossible, I guess, but there is no reason to hold that this is the way it MUST be. A year from now you'll be here complaining that this didn't happen, when there was no indication for you to have had that expectation in the first place.

I was sorta kidding. I don't really have any expectations at this point. I'm hopeful JJ can give Luke a more proper send off... But then again, he was the one who thought it was a good idea to start the last Skywalker trilogy, you know, without any Skywalkers in it.

Even though I really liked TFA, it did start us down the journey of our childhood hero being a fallen character. Meh.

But I'm really looking forward to IX. Should be a good time.
