He sorta flirts with L3 in Last Shot but it's clearly a joke.

Within 30 secs of his introduction in Empire he's putting the moves on Leia. Don't recall him doing that to Boba Fett or general Madine.

But realistically, would it shock anyone to learn the galaxy far, far away had sex droids and that Lando owned a few?

Lando actually prefers Ughnaughts.

He's also "shown" hitting on women and trying to stay with that Twilek.

Not gonna lie, I'm strongly considering attending. Never been and always wanted to. Gonna try to round up my two huge SW nerd buddies.
I can't make it.

Random question that this gif prompted... For someone without kids, is it worth it to watch any of the Star Wars animated series? I'm not generally big into animated shows, so don't want to waste my time. Are they legitimately good star wars stories?

Clone Wars is pretty well done, and you don't even have to watch every episode (follow a guide online); Rebels is a little more Disney-fied, but it's pretty good overall. These shows are the only animation I watch outside of Disney/Pixar movies with the kids.

if you have no kids, you have all the time in the world to waste.

but seriously, i'm a big enough fan I would've watched it regardless but it's not really necessary for the movies.

For example, Darth Maul. The movies-only people wouldn't give a second thought to him since Obi Wan sliced him in half in Episode 1 and that's fine, but I liked his storyline in Rebels.

You're nuts if you don't watch Rebels.

Edit: Just noticed you said without kids and not with kids.

Clone wars has some great stories. The Maul stories being best. Clone wars can get a bit mature for younger kids. They sometimes delve into witchcraft and other dark subject matter. A good series, enjoyed the storylines, but you may want to preview before watching with younger kids.

Rebels is more light hearted with some good storylines. It is really cool to see Thrawn. I felt the story was more seasonal rather than in 4 episode blocks. I think for this reason I liked rebels a bit more as a whole. I think clone wars had better high moments, rebels was more consistent.

If you find either to mature for the kids, the Lego Star Wars is really good. Droid tales is a condensed version of Episodes 1-6. They can be quite funny and they poke fun at themselves quite a bit. For example, Jar Jar gets blown up in every episode.

Lego Star Wars Freemaker adventures is a surprisingly good story. It is about a force sensitive boy who is searching for pieces of the first lightsaber...the kyber saber. A light saber made out of kyber crystal.

Yeah, I don't know how it's the least bit shocking that Lndo was a little fluid.

I think it might have turned like 1038 actually... it was a LONG TIME AGO.

38 years ago was just the movie about it.

Agreed. No way Attack of the Clones is better than The Phantom Menace. Granted, we're comparing farts at this point, but TPM definitely doesn't stink as much as AOTC. And on no planet is Revenge of the Sith better than Rogue One. That's beyond absurd.

Personally, I'd go...

1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. A New Hope
3. Rogue One
4. Return of the Jedi
5. The Force Awakens
6. The Last Jedi
7. The Phantom Menace
8. Revenge of the Sith
9. Attack of the Clones

... with the anticipation of Solo falling somewhere between 5 and 8.

I'll counter with:

1a. Star Wars - I'm one of the few I suppose but originality and that life changing experience as an 11 year old in the theater always wins out for me (PS I don't know what "A New Hope" is)
1b. The Empire Strikes Back
3. Rogue One
--------------------------------------
4. Return of the Jedi
5. The Last Jedi
6. The Force Awakens
--------------------------------------
7. Revenge of the Sith
8. The Phantom Menace
9. Attack of the Clones

The sections for me are

1-3 great - nearly flawless movies
4-6 very good - with some detracting qualities (ewoks, rose+casino, plot retread)
7-9 ugh - too many cringeworthy moments

I expect Solo in the 4-6 range as well.

I like dividing it up into thirds like that. Same basic idea/order that allows for a couple of discretions.

I've noticed that since The Last Jedi came out on BluRay, I have not had any desire to watch it repeatedly as I have done with all other Star Wars movies once I got them on home video. That tells me that I need to adjust my rankings.

1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Star Wars
3. Rogue One
4. Revenge of the Sith
5. Return of the Jedi
6. The Force Awakens
7. Attack of the Clones
8. The Phantom Menace
9. The Last Jedi

Come on. You would seriously prefer to watch a prequel over a Star Wars movie with Luke Skywalker and a bad ass Rey/Kylo action sequence? I'm not a huge fan of TLJ either, but it's miles more competent than anything the prequels have to offer.

While I'm not sure I'd currently rank TLJ last, I haven't watched any of the prequels in a few years. I did watch TLJ within a week of buying, but I didn't really enjoy it. I should watch the prequels soon and see what I think.

I've watched TLJ 3 times in the theater and 3 more times on BR.

I can't even sit through a prequel movie any more - I actually kind of make a sport of seeing how long I can take it when i see them on cable. 10-15 minutes is about the maximum depending on the movie and which part it is at.

All day.

Did I not just say that I have noticed a lack of interest in watching TLJ? I saw the first Star Wars when I was 10. Saw that one more than 20 times in a movie theater over the course of several re-releases. A bunch of bully type kids in elementary/junior high nicknamed me Mr. Star Wars in those years. Saw Empire before anyone else in my school. Made a deal with my mom to see Jedi on opening night, a school night in the middle of finals, if I aced my biology final. Knocked the test out of the park and got to see Jedi on opening night.

I don't care if someone wants to tell me the prequels suck. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I,saw all of the prequels multiple times in the theater. When I got Sith on BR, I did something with my sound system settings where it somehow tried repeatedly to compensate for a signal coming in that my receiver was not able to process. Blew out the receiver during he opening space battle (I literally saw a flame come out of that receiver).

TFA was fun, and I watched that one repeatedly when I brought it home on disc.

So with all of that, why have I had no desire to watch this latest episode? Yeah, that Kylo/Rey fight is awesome, but the prequels had plenty of awesome fights as well. I did not like the decisions that were made as to where the characters went thematically. Luke was not the bad ass that people wanted him to be. The Rose character is the worst character in all of these movies. I know lots will say that distinction belongs to Jar Jar, but I disagree; Jar Jar played an important role in elevating the chanceller to Emperor. What the heck did Rose do? Not a damn thing, other than utter the worst line in the series - beating them with love. TLJ had some good moments, yes, but I just have no desire to watch it again. I'm sure I will watch it again at some point, likely before Episode IX comes out. But for the time being, yes, I'd prefer to watch a prequel, any of them, rather than TLJ.

Honestly it has been a while since I watched any of the prequels or the OT either. I watched TFA a few times prior to TLJ, but over the last couple of years, I did watch the hell out of Rogue One.

I love the way you organize the movies. Using that system, I would go:

1. ESB
2. ANH

3. TLJ
4. TFA
5. RotJ
6. Rogue One

7. RotS
8. TPM
9. AotC
