The intro of TFA is so good too. So how about the same opening of TFA, but once Rey and Fin leave Jakku they meat up with Leia and the Resistance instead of Han. A shorter version of TLJ starts there.

And here I was all worried I'd misspell Leia in front of a bunch of Star Wars nerds.gougler08 said:Porno version of TFA incoming?Quad Dog said:

Apparently in the novelization also when Luke is looking out in the sunset at the end, someone tells him, "Let Go, Luke."AliasMan02 said:
Almost forgot. There's a nice little troll moment in the TLJ novelization. When the Caretakers ask Luke for an explanation of who Rey is, he tells them that she is his niece.
I thought that was funny.

They don't say who it is....your first guess would be Obiwan as he says this to him in ANH as well...but another guess would be Anikan saying it to his son.
Thoughts?
That's a direct quote from Obi-Wan in ANH, so I would guess Obi-Wan.jokershady said:Apparently in the novelization also when Luke is looking out in the sunset at the end, someone tells him, "Let Go, Luke."AliasMan02 said:

I'm starting to get the feeling that we might be getting some significant Force ghost action in Episode IX. With Luke obviously coming back as a Force ghost, no doubt, but I keep thinking about how Episodes IX is rumored to be not just the end of the sequel trilogy, but the grand finale of the entire saga. In that sense, what if Abrams pulls out all the stops and we get Anakin, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Yoda cameos in some form or fashion, be it actual ghosts or just their voices? In other words, what Abrams finds a way to essentially give us The Avengers of the Star Wars universe, even if only for a single sequence or two?AliasMan02 said:jokershady said:Apparently in the novelization also when Luke is looking out in the sunset at the end, someone tells him, "Let Go, Luke."AliasMan02 said:

Possibly Yoda, who is the only being we see Luke commune with in this story. Or, given the emphasis placed on it in the novelization, the Cosmic Force, itself.
Remember that Rey had a similar experience in the TFA novelization when she defeated Kylo. A disembodied voice tells her to kill him.

There's got to be a significant time jump, yeah?
JJ will include a 5 second blurb about how the first order jammed transmissions from that planet and that's why they didn't get help.AgMarauder04 said:
So, in a 2-3 hour movie, how can they rebuild forces AND fight a final, climactic battle without the use of a silly montage?
not sure, i'll have to rewatch.AgMarauder04 said:
Didn't they say the signal got out and the reply they received was that no one was coming?

According to the blu-ray subtitles, Poe is actually calling Hux "General Hugs" in the entirety of the opening scene.

Starkiller 2.0 fires on Naboo. The world rejoices?
Who do you want? Jake Lloyd or Sebastian Shaw? 'cause those are your only choices of actors with face time in portraying Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.AgMarauder04 said:
I swear to God, if they do this and it's Hayden Christensen....
Actually, I can't back that up, but I will not be happy.

If they brought back Anakin, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Yoda in one scene, the cleaners are gonna have a bad time mopping up the floor below my seat, a mixture of tears and jizz.
