Oh what a glorious day!

In May1977, I raced off after school to the movie theater to see a movie that all my friends told me was "Super Cool!" And they were right. Probably saw it like 10 times that summer. But the one thing I never did was see it with my dad. I didn't know it at the time (being 7 years old) that my dad was sick. I just thought he was busy and always tired. By November his time to be with the Lord had come.

I never got to see Star Wars with my Dad.

Now my 11 year old son and I have seen all the movies, played all the games, dressed up for Halloween, but we never have sat together in a movie theater with shared anticipation of a new Star Wars movie. I had a moment this morning as I was getting dressed that I pictured me, my son, and my Dad, watching "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." flash on the screen. It was like a whole truck load of onions that was coated with massive amounts of ragweed was dropped in my living room. Tonight will be special, regardless on whether the movie is any good or not.

Now theyre giving us a brunch break until A New Hope at 11:30, then its break free until TFA at 7

I wish I had signed up for the Marathon. Maybe we can have a TexAgs group meet up for Rogue One??
