That's Galactic Battlegrounds and it was the suck.

They could re-do Rebellion, and leavea ll the game-play the same.... improve the space-battle simulator and actually simulate the ground battles... and it would be the best game ever in history...

The planet-to-planet strategy, tech trees, diplomacy, and special missions were just awesome...

I loved capturing someone like Darth Vader or Mon Mothma, and then just putting them on a ship and sending them from one of the Galaxy to the other so they could never escape or be rescued.

That would be awesome. Updated graphics, improve a few of the menu features. The depth of what you can do in the game is incredible. I don't know about you but it sucks me in when I sit down. I started up a game after reading this thread, looked up and realized it was 1AM.

I played Rebellion until dawn many a time back in the day.

I gave it up because it didn't work well on XP, I think. Does it work on Windows 8?

It was a 4X game like Master of Orion with star wars skins

Not sure. I'm running it off of GOG on Windows 7.

Rebellion is also my favorite star wars game hands down.

I've always been amazed at how much hate there can be for that game though, reviews at e time of release were very polarized.

You get to control characters, production, macro strategy, micro strategy, play diplomacy freaking everything! Want to create a fleet of capitol ships and just blast the hell out of everyone, go for it. Want to go with the rebels and build massive amounts of hyperdrive capable fighters to quick strike all over the galaxy.

Anyways for the time it was released it was awesome. I can only imagine what they can do nowadays building a Europa/ CIv style game in the starwars universe. I would pay hundreds for that kind of game.

Evidently, Ewan McGregor wants to star in an Obi-Wan anthology movie.

He did a good job, but if i had to guess he has less of a shot than me, due to them wanting to distance themselves from the original trilogy.

I really wish these movies will be a little "grittier" than previous movies...

I want to see battle scars, fresh cuts, grime, bruises, broken bones, dismemberment, etc. More like "Batman: Dark Knight Rises"... i.e. alot less PG... I'd love to see an R-rating - but then you'd lose out on kids
