Anyone know if we can expect a new trailer or any footage from Comic Con next week?

There will definitely be a new trailer and/or footage. Question is whether or not it'll be for public consumption. Could very well just be a Comic-Con only kind of thing. No one knows for sure yet.

All of the EU is gone.

However, that does not preclude them from using themes, characters, and situations from the old EU in the new EU. But as of this moment, the old EU was wiped away. Think like when Marvel or DC reboot their universes

The fact that the Empire persists and there is no New Republic or Jedi order 30 years later effectively eliminates the whole EU.

I'm really tickled by people lamenting that the EU is "gone" - those books still exist, I still read them - Luke, Han, and Leia are having different adventures on the big screen than in novels and comics - how is that different from any movie ever?

Filming has started on Rogue One.

When does the book come out? The comic comes out in December it says... Pretty sure the book was gonna be at least a couple months before the movie. I'm a slow reader so hopefully there give me some time to read it before the movie.

Would be a cool trailer. It's definitely time to show a glimpse of Luke. Do we know when they plan to show this?
