^^^ What he said. I never watched revenge of the sith in theatres because of how terrible episodes 1 and 2 were. I recently discovered the anti-cheese versions of episodes 1,2,3 on YouTube and they are good movies without all the kiddie Lucas crap.

Generally speaking, I will agree. Daisy Ridley was better in her role than Natalie Portman or Carrie Fisher was in their's. However, I maintain that Ewan MacGregor nailed his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Ian McDiarmid was perfectly cast as Palpatine - I don't think I have ever seen such pure hatred formed on a human face as he displayed while force lightning Luke at the end of Jedi. Looking back on it, I would say both Mark Hamill and Hayden Christensen were about the same, whiny brats who eventually wielded a lot of power. Both had moments that could be called temper-tantrums. I think they did the best with the roles they had. Then there is Harrison Ford. Are you going to say that his acting as Han Solo was a MILLION TIMES worse than any of the acting on display in TFA?

No, Harrison Ford was the same; no better or worse. My opinion is that the acting/talent of the main cast as a whole, not specific to a single character, is the best of the bunch.

The problem is that the talent is relgated to supporting roles. (Sam Jackson and Christopher Lee come to mind) And no doubt, a good script would help. I just think the main cast, the characters that TFA story revolves around, are better actors and are better portrayals than any previous SW film. (Daisey Ridley, Josh Boyega, and Oscar Isaac > Mark Hamil, Carrie Fischer, Harrison Ford > Hayden Christensen, Ewon McGreggor, Natalie Portman)

I found the acting of General Grievous and Dexter Jettster to be the best in the Star Wars universe.

There is a difference between a talented actor and a talented performance

Depsite having a lot of talented actors, there's isn't a single performance in the prequels that would be used as an example of a talented performance.

Which adds to the list of reasons why the prequels are so bad.

Daisy did an interview at the MTV Movie Awards the other night and says some interesting things



-She knows who Rey's parents are
-She doesn't think the lineage is super important. She says where her and Finn are going is more important, that you can make your own family.
-VIII will be darker (duh)
-Doesn't know if Rey is a Jedi (compares it to Leia)
