I'm glad to hear they might still develop 1313. Man that concept art is amazing.

We even went into a period of time after we released the first teaser [last November] where we very consciously didn't do anything for three or four months.

That was a very dark time for me, Kathleen.

Another great quote from the Abrams article:

quote:
"I think that's what Larry Kasdan taught me most of all, which is 'Don't work so hard," Abrams continued. "Trust the audience. Trust the characters and that the audience will feel more, in a way, the less you explain the stuff to them. And the challenge is always to make it satisfying and clear and not feel like you're being preached to."

Another great quote:

quote:
"Of course, George kept popping his head in the door, and we valued his opinion every time. He'd be like, "How about a talking orange frog with a Jamaican accent? How about a planet where it rains all the time and there's no land mass, who wouldn't want to live there, right? Hey, how about 20 minutes of scenes in a Senate debate right in the middle of the movie? How about casting a kid who absolutely cannot act in the biggest role of the film, just to see what happens?" Great thoughts, all around, George hasn't lost his touch!"

It's weird to think about the fact that the two biggest blockbusters of this year, coming from completely separate studios, are really coming from the same household.

Do you think Kennedy ever talks ****? Like, "Hey babe, you got two more weeks of being #1."?

Her husband is Frank Marshall, the producer of Jurassic World.

She talks about it on the article TCTTS posted.

Last question.

Frank Marshall

Kathleen Kennedy

Basically, two of the biggest producers of all time are married to each other.

Here's a question for the film buffs. You get to keep one of their filmographies, and the other's is lost forever. Who do you pick?

It's pretty f-ing tough, I'll have to think about it myself.

Both have Indiana Jones and Back to the Future. One has the original JP and the future Star Wars movies, the other doesn't. Easy pick.

Kennedy also has The Last Airbender which may or may not wipe out all the good she has done in the world.

This.

It is quite easy unless you break out the ones they both worked on.

I has thought Marshall alone had Raiders and BttF and Kennedy had ET.

Yep, gotta go with Kennedy. Though Marshall has the new Jurassic movies and the Bourne franchise, Kennedy has the original JP trilogy, plus new Star Wars, along with a slew of great Oscar films.

Watching Phantom Menace with my sick super fan (who is 3). I really wish the back story on Anakin's father was that Shmi invented the story about "there was no father" because she had hooked up with Bib Fortuna or Ben Quadrinaros or something and was too embarassed to admit it. No one in Mos Espa believes her, but a dummy like Qui-Gon, desperate to find the Chosen One, is totally down for it.

Remember in the days after 1999 when everyone was convinced that Kitster would grow up to be Boba Fett because he was a slave and Fett flew Slave I?

And yes I may do a running commentary here for a while - here's Jabba, just as obese as he was during ROTJ, despite being 1 ton skinnier in ANH:SE. Who is he, Oprah? Fat, thin, fat, thin?

The Tusken Raiders should have been in American Sniper - using their American Revolution rifles to shoot things going 600 mph from half a mile up in the air.

First lap done, Anakin not in last courtesy of 2 deaths.

How much faster can Ani's pod possibly be than Sebulba's? Sebulba has zero obstacles the entire race, Anakin doesn't start on time and his pod breaks down halfway through the race. Is Sebulba driving a Yugo?

Anakin doesn't get DQ'ed despite leaving the course and having his pod 200 feet in the air. Why didn't he just do the whole race up there?

Sorry Brian Earl, I realize this looks like I want you to answer all these questions because I know you like this part; I really don't just venting.

My daughter has lost interest in the third lap and is putting Mickey Mouse match game cards in a box we got from Shutterfly.

What I hate most about this movie is that Anakin does everything in the space battle "by accident".

That trailer!

Couple notes:

When Rey asks bb8 where he's from he says "classified"... She responds, " me too".

When they show Rey it goes to Luke's theme.

Watching Season 2 of Rebels ahead of TFA, and I continue to be impressed with how they handle droids on this show. Way better than in The Clone Wars. Chopper is awesome.
