I loved Rogue Leader for GC, and Episode I Racer for N64.

No other game blew me away like Launch week of Star Wars Galaxies. The sandbox environment with no vehicles in game made it very fun.

Not to get into a political debate, but I feel like they won't kill Finn because he's black. I feel like they wan't to keep him around to keep that demographic interested in Star Wars. Just the PC Principle in me.

I kind of forgot about Galaxies because it wasn't your traditional game. But you're right, it was amazing before they effed it up. I was 29 and single when it came out, I can't even estimate how many hours I spent running around town as a Wookiee in a purple chef hat - a smuggler with nothing to smuggle and a merchant with credits ranging into the billions, but nothing to do with them.

I could write a dissertation on what I wish Galaxies would have been, but a lot of the battles I fought in, the Krayt Dragon hunts, the first days of Mounts and of vehicles and starships, and the wonder of it all, was great.

Dont forget the galactic civil war. One of the experiences I remember most was only days after I started playing:

I was in the town of Anchorhead on Tatooine, looking for a hidden room where the local Rebel Alliance recruiters were hiding. I did a few missions for them and returned to Anchorhead. Little did I know, that there was a small Imperial patrol in the area. One of the NPC stormtroopers I was just about to walk by decided that I looked suspicious enough to search and ordered me to allow him to do such. Not knowing what to do (I had some contraband in my posession I did not want to lose when they searched me) I decided to fight the patrol instead of submit to their request to search me. Ended up in a huge fight where half the town (though it was a small town, its probably the largest concentration of Rebels on that planet) joined in to help kill the stormtoopers, who had some help of their own also joined in. Ended up being a crazy battle that I inadvertently started because I didnt want to be frisked by the local Imperial police. Lol. Was a great day.

I still play SWG EMU from time to time trying to relive some of those days, but its not quite the same. The huge sandbox, player-driven economy, and skill system have been unmatched by any other game I have seen to date. So many good things about this game that I cant believe have never been imitated by others.

Even more new footage. I'm honestly shocked at how much they're releasing now...

I know, but I had previously praised them for not flooding us with a bunch of plot revealing trailers earlier. I'm not wanting them to cross into that territory.

I don't feel overloaded. They used so many retreads over and over in promotional material that I feel like it's all good. For reference, I went back and watched some of the stuff that was put out with the Star Trek reboot. This doesn't seem bad in comparison.

The "we're home" shot is different from what we've seen already. I've always found that distracting when they use a different take in the final movie than what they played in trailers. We watch the trailers so many times and it's distracting when it's obviously different. Not a real big gripe, just worth pointing out.

Our first video of General Hux in that clip. I wonder what we'll see tonight on Disney!

I hate when I go to a movie and mentally wait for some moment from the trailer, and it never happens. I wonder if any of that will exist with this movie.

I, too, can't wait to see what is going on with Maya and Riley.

The final edit of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is complete and has a running time of 2 hours and 15 minutes. Picture was locked on November 3rd 2015 at midnight, but JJ Abrams and crew will be spending the next few weeks finalizing the film's visual effects, sound effects and a final scoring session with composer John Williams.

When I first saw this shot in the TV spot I assumed they were in a casino playing some sort of space roulette. I am not a smart man.

Here's an elongated video of that UK teaser or whatever. Shows a few more new clips we haven't seen.

As we know, there is a scene where Rey flies the Millennium Falcon as seen in the trailers. After they shot that scene, there is another sequence where Rey and Han fly it together. Daisy Ridley has a funny story about it: "I went to get into the pilot seat and he was like 'that's mine'. I was genuinely mortified and JJ was sitting there like 'Oh my god.'"

because we all wondered about SJW issues like this....

Meanwhile, Slashfilm spotted the film's creature shop head Neal Scanlan addressing the gender issue around balldroid BB-8 with EW in a print magazine article. "BB-8 was female in our eyes. And then she became male," he said. "And that's all part of the evolution, not only visually, but in the way they move, how they hold themselves." He also admitted that he wasn't one hundred percent sure that shift to male remained. While still a curious point to address, Star Wars droids do seem to be male by default, so a female droid at least in terms of personality or voice would be a deliberate choice.

So... BB is transgendered.

I love the back-to-back "I can do this" from Finn and Rey in the different parts of the Falcon. Little touches like that get me just excited as many of the visuals.

That said, it's now confirmed that Finn and Rey initially pilot the Falcon sans Han & Chewie in that chase on Jakku. I really, really hope it's not just a convenient coincidence that they just so happen upon the Falcon (which presumably belongs to someone else now) and then just so happen upon Han and Chewie shortly after. Surely there's a reasonable explanation.

Where was this confirmed? I guess I missed something. And some of my theories / thoughts are completely off if they are literally piloting this thing on Jakku. I'm so lost, but I guess that's awesome at the same time.

Edit to my post above... Are you referring to Brians post about the "that's my seat comment"? I don't take that literally... I take that to mean they shot the Rey solo pilot scene first and then shot a scene with Harrison after. I don't take that to be any confirmation on the order in which scenes show up in the movie.

Let me know your thoughts.

I wasn't referencing the dialogue in that spot. It was confirmed in one of those EW articles / captions over the past few days. It had been rumored for months and months that it was Rey piloting the Falcon in that sequence, and that her and Finn meet Han AFTER that chase, but I was starting to think that wasn't the case as of late. At least until a couple days ago.

Very interesting. What the heck is the Falcon doing on Jakku if Han and Chewy aren't on it? How do they meet up with Rey & Finn after? How does Rey, who's been stuck on Jakku, even know where the heck she's going once she takes off? Makes no sense really... Will wait and see.
