I can't wait. The world is about to get a lot bigger and the plots much more complex. For those who haven't read the books I highly recommend going to the HBO Website Viewer's Guide. The interactive map and guide to the Houses are very helpful and they are spoiler free. Be careful on Westeros.org and other sites because there is so much spoiler info, you can navigate them but it is hard not to see what you don't wish to see.

I'm giddy after watching those trailers. I was a little late to the game and am currently reading the 2nd book...CAN'T WAIT!
Judging by the trailer, it looks like they're incorporating parts of book 3 into this season, like speeding up the Jon Snow and Jaime Lannister storylines. Which makes for some GREAT scenes.
I was impatient and read the first 3 books in about 2.5 weeks this past month. Books 2 & 3 are freaking awesome. They are so long and detailed though that I'm taking a break before reading 4 & 5. Heard Dance with Dragons is a bit slower anyways.
Gonna be interesting to see what they include and leave out. The second book is insanely violent at times. Lots of action too. Hopefully they'll have the budget to give us some cool battle scenes.
Can't wait for more Tyrion, Arya, and Jon Snow. Lots of interesting new characters coming up too. Gonna be a great ride

Actually AFFC is slower than ADWD but both of them are clearly setting up the last 2 books being truly incredible. Just pace yourself in realizing they are not as action packed, still great though.

Depending on how much (if) they speed up Jon's story line it could throw LOTS of stuff off.

In my mind, I picture Brienne of Tarth to look just like Maid Marion's girthy lady in waiting from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. I don't know who has been casted to play her.

Battle scenes
Looking forward to it. Breezed through books 1-3 and now bored to tears with book four. You will be shocked to find out that Ned Starks brother, Faramir, plays a crucial role in saving Alderaan.
holy crap...for book readers, that trailer is absolutely packed with fantastic stuff from the books. i won't spoil anything obviously but for those new to book 2 stuff, this season is going to be epic

FWIW, don't let yourself get too lulled to sleep during AFFC. Every little bit ends up meaning something down the road for the most part. The tough thing is the pace during SoS is so fast with so much going on it feels boring. Winds of Winter is going to be awesome though, the buildup is tremendous.
