Utah's public awareness campaign for this bill was "porn has killed more people than Thanos."
I swear to you this is true.
I swear to you this is true.
This is supposedly to protect children. A better way to protect children would be to make some sort of attempt to prevent school shootings.Ragnar Danneskjoldd said:
I dont understand the line of thought. When your city council takes a vote on hotel occupancy tax do you say "OH I GUESS THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SCHOOL SHOOTINGS?!"
I assure you its possible to walk and chew gum at the same time. Do you want them to make it super-illegal to murder children, as opposed to just very-illegal? Seems like legislatures wont implement your preferred policy so that means anything done outside your preferred policy is bad?Know Your Enemy said:This is supposedly to protect children. Just logical fallacy after logical fallacy from you. Does passing a law for firefighters pensions mean they also cant pass legislation dealing with school shooting? They're not mutually exclusive and are addressing different issues.Know Your Enemy said:
You're right, my bad. Since murder is already illegal we have done more than enough to make children safe in schools.
The problem is that nothing is being done to prevent further school shootings. Sure they CAN do more than one thing at a time but they aren't. And blocking kids from PornHub is great but that isn't going to do a thing to keep kids from seeing porn online. There are millions of other options.Ragnar Danneskjoldd said:Just logical fallacy after logical fallacy from you. I'm not in favor of that in the least but just keep pushing that false narrative while kids are dying in school.agracer said:Know Your Enemy said:The problem is that nothing is being done to prevent further school shootings. Just say it out loud. Ban all guns. Until then nothing else should be passed by any legislative body in the US.

Any word yet on whether Mormon-themed porn is still available in other states?

Apparently kids watching porn is much more dangerous than getting shot up at school. I had no idea.
I'm not sure I even understand what you're saying, but the odds of a kid getting shot in school are like 1 in 15,000,000. The odds of a minor kid being psychologically affected in an adverse way from watching porn are like 1 in 2. It's way more prevalent and way more dangerous than school shootings.
Danger is a function of probability, and danger is not limited to just being killed or physically harmed. How many more minor children have been harmed by watching porn than have been killed from going to school? That is the proper inquiry. The answer is in the tens of millions, conservatively.
I posted an article of what Utah was doing about school shootings. You're objectively wrong.Know Your Enemy said:The problem is that nothing is being done to prevent further school shootings. Because every teen boy above the age of 13 jerks off and will watch porn on whatever site is available to them. And it's not a dangerous activity like those others are.agracer said:Children cannot buy alcohol, cigarettes, drive, go into bars after certain hours, go to strip clubs (unless it's drag), or do lots of things that adults can do and ARE REQUIRED TO SHOW ID TO PARTICIPATE IN THOSE ACTIVITIES.Teslag said:Ragnar Danneskjoldd said:
Its interesting that the company line is "well if we cant market porn to children than NOBODY gets porn!"
I think it's more that they know their users want to do be as anonymous as possible. Which is understandable. It's also not their job to parent your children.
Why is requiring showing an ID to access porn bad?
A friend told me it is available in Texas.Beer Baron said:

Do you prefer soaking or jump humping?

They explain it in the Netflix show. Trailer belowRagnar Danneskjoldd said:why did they do that?Teslag said:Quote:
I would have more sympathy for the company if they didnt brazenly host underage videos and refuse to take them down absent court orders. Reprehensible people.
Pornhub took down all content that wasn't verified or user created

Watching porn is certainly not healthy and can cause all kinds of emotional and social issues for teens..Brian Earl Spilner said:Because every teen boy above the age of 13 jerks off and will watch porn on whatever site is available to them. I'd say birth rates plummeting is probably much more because of how unaffordable life is for the average citizen.Ragnar Danneskjoldd said:
I would say the wide availability of porn is a massive net negative for our civilization. Birth rates plummeting, testosterone levels plummeting, sex crime, incels, obesity, depression, overall societal degeneracy. I could keep going. I think porn is far more damaging to our national character than tobacco.
