It's certainly not going to cause lung cancer or a drunk driving accident.
Don't disagree.but teens drinking and smoking, there are laws to prevent that from happening. This is no different.

Honestly don't understand why people have such a huge problem with this.

Literally for the reason I said. The difference is no kid ever hurt anyone, including themselves, by spanking the monkey.
. Spanking the monkey is not the same as unrestricted access to porn for kids. How can you be this dense?

Isn't monkey spanking what led to AIDS

Pornhub has always been a very controversial thing for me...

One one hand, porn can be seen as a bad, addicting thing that causes many personal problems...

On the other hand is lotion...

It's just a weird value comparison to try and equate.

It is a little weird. I won't argue that. I'm just following the thread.

I think people are just sick (and angry) of school shootings. And when legislators are passing other things that are pretty innocuous by comparison, it begs the question - are they really prioritizing problems?

I don't have a solution but I also didn't assert myself as a political leader of a community.

But closer to the topic at hand, I don't like the idea of having to ID myself in order to watch porn. It's a little too close to…SHOW US ZUR PAPERS!!!!
So you hate showing your papers to get into R rated movies, buy alcohol, buy cigarrettes, get into a bar, drive a car....?? Because those are basically the same thing. You had to show your papers to buy a Playboy magazine before the internet made print publications mostly useless. Did you complain then too?
You don't have to show ID to watch an R rated movie, drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, etc in the privacy of your own home.

But you need one to buy most of those things. In fact, you need a CC to get that R rated movie at home so, adult.
you definitely don't need a credit card to watch R rated movies at home.

it makes me sad kids will grow up with unfettered access to this stuff. They will never know the feeling of snagging a playboy, hiding it in their fort, showing their friends.

I assume children growing up now will be incapable of sexual gratification as adults without a midget, ******, donkey, and tentacles being present.

I've never had to do any of those.

Most definitely aren't the same thing. Showing my ID to cop for speeding is not the same as having a server store my personal information for all eternity.

Nope. I found my dad's or my friend's dad's stash like most smart boys.

Just logical fallacy after logical fallacy from you. Does passing a law for firefighters pensions mean they also cant pass legislation dealing with school shooting? They're not mutually exclusive and are addressing different issues.
The problem is that nothing is being done to prevent further school shootings. Sure they CAN do more than one thing at a time but they aren't. And blocking kids from PornHub is great but that isn't going to do a thing to keep kids from seeing porn online. There are millions of other options.

Just say it out loud. Ban all guns. Until then nothing else should be passed by any legislative body in the US.
I'm not in favor of that in the least but just keep pushing that false narrative while kids are dying in school.
And yet you've proposed no solutions to "kids dying in schools".
There's tons of things that could happen.

Some off the top of my head...

- reinstate the assault weapons ban
- require a license to possess a firearm
- require gun education to purchase a firearm
- require continuing education to retain/possess a firearm
- register of firearms with the State
- have requirements to manufacture guns (no just any Joe with a 3D printer)

Instead our legislators think this is a solution...training our 11 years old to stuff gauze in gunshot wounds. WTF?

I'm sure like half of y'all are joking, but if you're interested in the (non-religious) harmful effects of porn exposure on kids:

is a great resource. To tie in with the 'mass shootings are more of a priority' argument; there is evidence linking porn addiction to violence.

Freevee doesn't require a credit card, just an email address. John Wick (which is rated R) is on there right now. I just created a burner account, logged in, and turned it on. Its clearly marked rated R and did not require any sort of confirmation of my age.

Freevee isn't some random service either. Its basically amazon prime video but with ads.
