Dated two years before getting married, and in hindsight the biggest red flags would've been things not being so great physically and her mom being overinvolved in her life. Both were things she said were going to change after graduation and moving to another city.

Her mom plays a strange kind of codependent role in her life. She's sort of the antagonist who causes lots of problems, but at the same time the ex can't set boundaries with her and always goes back to mom before anyone else for support. Guess I left that whole factor out in the OP.

I don't understand the whole kid thing.. you know, we had kids after we moved 1000 miles away from either parent. I'm almost glad we did. I see so many of my couple friends that grew up with parents a few miles away, and the kid pawning off was common between them all. We didn't have that option.. we had to figure it out and make it work. It makes you figure out how to deal with and eventually manage your stress, instead of just dropping the kid off somewhere else.

Funny thing about her parents - we were 1,000 miles away from her for a few years. Her mom decided to move when the kids were coming and made the drive in time to help play catcher in the delivery room for kid #1. She's BSC in her own special way.

I say that while my own mom might come over next month, but that's because daycare is a train wreck over here. With huge layoffs already announced for this summer and it being hard to get anything done with the kids at home the circumstances are kind of different here.

That part is true, her and her mom are very much dependent on each other despite her complaining about it. It's probably a huge detail but she didn't exactly switch teams. She doesn't know if she's attracted to anyone at all but before she and I met she went out on a casual date with another girl twice. At 19 her mom found out and confined her at home with no car and she could only be driven somewhere if she was going to work or church (ex is nondenom Christian).

She said all that was in the past and the person she went out with turned out BSC, turns out that wasn't true. If she really is in to women and not just nobody it'll be a huge ****show with her mom I'm sure. They might go for a full week without talking

10 years, and mostly on korean pop facebook fan groups and related group chats. And different phone games that let you play for however long before a timer reset. Play until it runs out, switch to another game or get back on Facebook until the timer's back, repeat...

Yes, she has been depressed for a long time now. I assume she still takes meds but hasn't talked to someone about it in a few years.

Huh, Photobucket came back. Those are pretty old (one of them is 7) and in no way reflect how she looks now. Contacts, hair not in a greasy ponytail, and makeup became about a once a year thing.

They just don't want other people's pictures posted by someone else, because it leaves that person with no other choice than to delete their upload from whatever site is hosting it. If it's their post they can edit it to remove it. Just giving you a heads up before you got a moderator warning.

An old mutual friend actually ran into her on a dating app. Side note: I had no idea her and her husband were looking for a 3rd and you do not want rule #1. We were at a meetup and she's the one who brought it up when she was complaining about who was on dating apps. She opened one so people could see and scrolled around some (ex was not one of the results b/c she noped the hell out from her), and the results were a pretty rough crowd. Go find a TDS thread on forum 16 and you'll get an idea of what we were looking at. A lot of guy's hopes and dreams died right there.

And FWIW I don't consider herself to be a bad mother. She loves the kids like crazy but just doesn't have the willpower and patience parenting takes. Also there's a lot to be said about working things out amicably as opposed to mutual assured destruction.
