Dated two years before getting married, and in hindsight the biggest red flags would've been things not being so great physically and her mom being overinvolved in her life. Both were things she said were going to change after graduation and moving to another city.Drifter. said:
Out of curiosity, how long did y'all date before getting married, and looking back now where there any "red flags" that you noticed but chose to overlook from before getting married?
Answers are however many pages back in the post a pic of yourself thread.THE_CHOSEN_ONE said:THE_CHOSEN_ONE said:
Are you a transgender person?
The fact that this question has gone unanswered pretty much answers it.
Funny thing about her parents - we were 1,000 miles away from her for a few years. Her mom decided to move when the kids were coming and made the drive in time to help play catcher in the delivery room for kid #1. She's BSC in her own special way.62strat said:
Man that sucks, especially for the kids.
I'd like to think that after years and years with someone, you really know them deep down. My wife and I dated for 7.5 years before getting married.. then another 4 years before kids came around, yet we bought our first house 2 years into relationship. I feel that something like this would never happen (like her coming out).. We've known each other pretty much our entire adult lives... but hell maybe I'm being naive.
I don't understand the whole kid thing.. you know, we had kids after we moved 1000 miles away from either parent. I'm almost glad we did. I see so many of my couple friends that grew up with parents a few miles away, and the kid pawning off was common between them all. We didn't have that option.. we had to figure it out and make it work. It makes you figure out how to deal with and eventually manage your stress, instead of just dropping the kid off somewhere else.

Did you at least try to get a threesome?
That part is true, her and her mom are very much dependent on each other despite her complaining about it. It's probably a huge detail but she didn't exactly switch teams. She doesn't know if she's attracted to anyone at all but before she and I met she went out on a casual date with another girl twice. At 19 her mom found out and confined her at home with no car and she could only be driven somewhere if she was going to work or church (ex is nondenom Christian).Tree Hugger said:
I was surprised to the see the developments on this after all the home reno threads on the HI board the last few years. I knew you had split up but:
Did she really switch teams? I just thought she was going through some severe post partum stuff with a BSC mom that I thought had caused a lot of the problems.?
Did she give the shower head a name? Oh, wait, she didn't shower often. The Fife said:A threesome involving someone who hasn't showered in 3 or more days is something only a person stuck on a ship for a couple of months might think is a good idea!third coast.. said:

She's also not completely sure if she's gay or not into anyone at all. I'm glad I'm not part of that mess any more.
10 years, and mostly on korean pop facebook fan groups and related group chats. And different phone games that let you play for however long before a timer reset. Play until it runs out, switch to another game or get back on Facebook until the timer's back, repeat...wbt5845 said:
Well, this is too bad but it sounds like you finally made the hard, right choice.
A couple of questions (ignore if you like):
1. How long were you two married?
2. What was she doing online? Besides shopping on Amazon?
I really do wish you the best of luck.
Yes, she has been depressed for a long time now. I assume she still takes meds but hasn't talked to someone about it in a few years.Buford T. Justice said:
I was going to ask this in the form of a question.
Was there a medical evaluation for depression?
Huh, Photobucket came back. Those are pretty old (one of them is 7) and in no way reflect how she looks now. Contacts, hair not in a greasy ponytail, and makeup became about a once a year thing.Ornlu said:

OK. It is still up on the other thread, and Fife could take it down, so I thought it would be OK. I don't mind removing it though.hph6203 said:
Probably don't want to do that.

She was a looker back in those old photos... I probably would have let her walk all over me for longer than you did. Glad you are able to move on.

@The Fife... Did Mrs. Fife ever use blood magic to make a shadow-baby to kill your younger brother?goodAg80 said:Photo removed. See link instead. The Fife said:Huh, Photobucket came back. Eh that's about all there really was anyway. Enough people kept asking and we've all gotta do our part to make the GB great again. Not that anyone's sure when it was great to begin with but it totally was, we promise.Moxley said:Don't get him to stop. I'm bored and it's entertaining!Tobias Funke said:

So, she "amicably" agreed to give you primary custody of your children? The Fife said:
She had hair that color for about 3 months and then hated it. The picture is probably photoshopped; she used to spend hours doing that.
An old mutual friend actually ran into her on a dating app. Side note: I had no idea her and her husband were looking for a 3rd and you do not want rule #1. We were at a meetup and she's the one who brought it up when she was complaining about who was on dating apps. She opened one so people could see and scrolled around some (ex was not one of the results b/c she noped the hell out from her), and the results were a pretty rough crowd. And FWIW I don't consider herself to be a bad mother. She loves the kids like crazy but just doesn't have the willpower and patience parenting takes. Also there's a lot to be said about working things out amicably as opposed to mutual assured destruction.
