While not the most beautiful, I do think the ranchlands around College Station, down 6 and OSR and such, are underrated. I like the stretches of open green with horses or cattle, with clusters of trees and houses set way back from the road.

I used to work on one of 'em. Never really thought of them as beautiful, but then I was usually wishing I was elsewhere at the time.
Oh, and Top of the Hill burgers pale in comparison to Griffen's.

Second place is Plum Cove at Medina Lake. Dad lives there in Lakehills. It's a great private cove WHEN the lake has water. Tons of great memories growing up as a kid and then watching my kids down there too.

Big Bend with Guadalupe Mtns as my second fave.

I have amazing memories of west Madison County. Looking west to Texas A&M and an amazing 20 acre coastal patch that I cut, raked, bailed and hauled so many damn times. Made me.
