I think we are getting a sister wife. We decided we need someone that cleans, does laundry, folds clothes, and irons. Cuddling would be a plus.

I intermingled with some people for a hot minute that were into this (did not participate but did attend parties where this was accepted). It was all very strange to me, but there were also tons of couple there that had been doing that sort of thing for years. They had their rules they stuck to just like any other marriage and it worked.

Everything works until Nick the D ick shows up and ruins it for the Average Joe's.

Well him and his wife fought and fought publicly at times. They can definitely both dish it. I'm not sure how his wife is doing as I wasn't good friends with her. She's got a mean streak so I'm expecting divorce fireworks.

He loves social media so he has his new girlfriend, her kids' and his kids' plastered all over with pictures of their vacations and escapades so I keep up at a distance as I haven't talked to him since he announced his relationship with his girlfriend while still married to his wife.

I feel the worst for the kids being dragged into this.

I'm pretty sure the wife had a boyfriend or three during the open marriage, but last I heard she didn't have a serious side piece like her husband.

If anything interesting happens I'll be sure to post.

Oh and the other couple I know who are in a open relationship, but aren't drama queens are now still going strong. They have been an open relationship for their whole marriage.

When they have a boyfriend/girlfriend, the new person is a like a member of the family. They do everything as a cohesive family unit. It's sort of odd, but cool? Neither one has a boyfriend/girlfriend at the moment.

They seem very anchored and stable unlike my friend above who was doing it to get out of his unhappy marriage.

Two very different views of similar situations.
