Sorry, I meant lower-calorie than GOMAD. Thanks for the correction.

By the way, for those who don't know GOMAD=Gallon Of Milk A Day

No, sorry I don't believe him.

Here is a guy who is 6' and 150 lbs.

Here is one who is 6' 140 lbs.

Both of those guys are seriously skinny.

This website has a whole bunch of pictures of people at various heights and weights. It's a pretty good representation of what someone will look like at a certain height and weight.

Dublin, I am still rather young and my doctor has informed that I'll probably put on a natural 20 lbs in the next couple years to fill out some. Based on the yada yada chart I believe I am underweight, but she says I am extremely healthy.

Rock, that's the kind of assurance I was looking for, so thanks for that. I'm not great at much, but I'm proud to say I have incredible mind control. This just so happens to translate well in the gym.

You better start believing him or he's gonna kick your ass. He can knock out a 300 pound nfl lineman with one punch.

I'm sorry, I was willing to take it somewhat seriously until

The day I say "OOOh baby, really? you can lift that much? Let's head straight the gym, I gotta see that. ooh yeah, lift those weights" is the same day I drink a gallon of milk in one day and lift 300 pounds.

I'm assuming you were born in 91? The younger you are, the easier it will be for you to pack on muscle instead of fat. If your doctor said you'd naturally put on weight, she's probably saying that you'll pack fat onto your frame until you're in a healthy BMI range once you hit your mid-20s. So you can either naturally accumulate fat or get muscular at your own discretion.
I used to weigh 135 after my freshman year, my body fat percentage has gone down since then and now I weigh 165, because I got ahead of the problem and started eating right and working hard.

"You can either naturally accumulate fat or get muscular at your own discretion." I think I need to put this on a business card.

Now now, people can believe what they want. I don't get mad. Remember, I have doubters surround me all the time so it's nothing new to me.

As for the lineman, I doubt I could at the moment, but with a little bit of boxing training incorporated with my mind strength, there is a chance I could do it given a free attempt.

I'm going to go ahead and let you know that if a guy your height and weight went to the gym with any consistency, even doing light-weight high-rep workouts, he would not be skinny in the way you are. That's just not physically possible, unless you're malnourished or have an eating disorder.
AgAllStar91
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Vander, I would say I have a very similar build to that first pic you posted.

Dublin, not sure whether or not my doctor thinks I'll add just 20 pounds of pure fat, but if I hit the gym with the same regularity I do currently, a solid amount should convert to lean muscle

Edit: I understand your doubts on my weight since I go to the gym, dublin, but I come from a very thin family. My brother is 6'2 135 lbs. Everyone thinks my parents must starve him but he eats a ton. We've just got strange genetics!

That isn't even AgAllStar so no incredible mind muscle connection.
OleDublinBobcat

The problem is that it would be unhealthy for someone with your body fat percentage to hit the gym regularly. You want to be between 13-18% body fat in a muscle-building phase, and you're nowhere near that.
AgAllStar91

Rock, at first I thought the guy who was going to lift in that video was the one in the orange shirt! I was thinking "you weigh 200 lbs liar". As for the real lifter, that was well done. He seemed to even get it rather easily. I don't put it up quite as swiftly.
OleDublinBobcat
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Rock, the guy in that video is 5'10". That would translate to about 160 for someone 6'.

Also, there's no way in hell that guy is 144 unless he's an amputee or has no leg muscles.

Dublin, isn't above 13% considered unhealthy? So you want to be unhealthy to start lifting weights? Correct my obvious error here.
OleDublinBobcat
How long do you want to ignore this user?

Above 13% isn't nearly as much as it seems. 9% is about as skinny as you can healthily be. 8% can be sustained for a short period of time, but if you try and stay at 8% you're going to get sick.

I disagree, I think you can be healthy at around 6%

Or are you saying Trey Williams is unhealthy?

Exactly. The guy must have total chicken legs in order to weigh that little and be able to bench 300. I mean technically it's possible, but you would have to turn yourself into a freak to do it by not ever working out your legs.
OleDublinBobcat
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm talking about normal people. Trey Williams is an top-tier athlete with access to world class nutritionists, strength coaches, and the resources of a Division I athletic program. If you try to stay below 8% without professional coaches and frequent visits with a sports physician, you're probably going to get yourself hurt.

I consider myself a top tier athlete too, I'm probably around 10%.
AgAllStar91
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Well that guy at 15% doesn't look unhealthy.

So should I just add on those 20 lbs of fat and then lift weights again afterwards? That would put me closer to your target range although still not in it probably. Should I do cardio to at least stay in shape? Will the weight still come on if I do that? I assume it would if it's "natural".

Don't put on too much muscle if you aren't going to continue working out AgAllStar.

All muscle that you build if it isn't used converts directly into fat after.
