Can we chill on the Dumba hate just a little? I don't love him either, and that was a stupid hit, but he's going to be here all year and in the lineup every time as long as he's healthy.
Quit bringing your liberal views on a Hockey thread. It's a rough sport and that was just an average hit.
It was a head shot, on a player clearly without the puck, while leaving his feet. I don't care if Robertson did it, that's a dirty hit.
People hate Dumba because of the hit in the playoffs on fan favorite pavelski. Joe pavelski has retired and there seems to be no lingering beef or bad blood from the hit.
We have more important things to worry about like winning a championship. We already lost a game in Washington because of injuries / depth issues forcing defenseman to work together awkwardly which led to some easy goals for the capitals. They probably don't score that goal(s) or win that game if we have Dumba and seguin.
Quit hating on Dumba and enjoy it when he lays people out. This is a contact sport, these guys aren't here to be babied, they are all cashing big ass checks. Just enjoy the hard hits. He's on our side now.

You could argue that shouldn't have been a penalty at all. Dickinson wasn't ready for the pass, it hit him in the skates and he had his head down. Dumba made contact with his shoulder, with his skates on the ice. Only elevated after contact. A tiny bit late, maybe, but otherwise a perfectly legal hit.

That was my take. He was the intended receiver and the puck hit his skates. He went down along with Dumba, but not flat out.
I hate Dumba's stupid face but that hit was alright.
Super jealous of anyone making the trip to Finland, but safe travels!
