I was at a college meet at UH last year and they forgot to bring out one of the hurdles. Talk about the red-headed stepchild. Everybody busting their butts for a NT.

I love to watch it. And I appreciate the real world origin of it. But I ran one steeple and it sucked to run in.
It's hard to really train for because most don't have the equipment for it. It also requires the jumping skill that doesn't translate to any other mid or long distance race.
Water sports question, why does every men's sport have the athletes wearing jammers outside of diving and water polo? Or rather, why do they choose to wear the speedo in those events?
Remember a few years back at Baylor they had the lap count wrong and all the girls had a lap to go but started hugging each other and stopped running
We have one of the NCAA's best steeple runners in Victor Kibiego, if he's healthy he's a threat to win it all next year! Kennady Fontenot will make nationals on the girls side in the steeple, she had an unfortunate fall at regionals! Staucie Lees is an incoming freshman who loves running the steeple so I'm excited to see an incoming freshman focus on it! Johnathan Chung is a good steepler and with more races he'll make the prelims as well!! Texas high schools don't do the steeple so there's a stigma with Texas distance recruits that they can't do it or won't be able to get it down, but I wish we had more people race it!

They want the smallest and tightest suits possible so there is nothing to grab. Water polo is full contact and opposing teams will grab anything and everything in the water if you have on a loose suit or one of the suits the competitive swimmers wear. This is why the women in water polo all look like they are wearing thongs, their suits are so tight they go up their ass.
Think football or rugby in the water and not soccer or handball.

So the 18 automatically made the semi! Everyone else who didn't automatically qualify gets sent to repechage! For the 800 the repechage will have 4 heats! Only the winner in each heat and the next two fastest times overall will get thrown into the final! So there will be 24 in the final! So we need Brandon to win his heat! Waking up for this race!
The repechage was added for events 200-1500 and the hurdles! Gives everyone a second race and a second chance at finals! Freddie Crittendon jogged over the hurdles in the first round, went and won the repechage and then made the finals lol

Her hurdling has been way off since her injury! I know that's how she hurt her foot, but she's no where near her college self in this event! Hopefully she makes up for it elsewhwre

When I was tyra gittens number one fan… I was the biggest Anna Hall hater, but watching her compete is spectacular and she's turned me into a fan! That girls know how to compete and she is why the heptathlon is so fun to watch!

Mens and Women's 4x100s qualify for final winning their heat. China won their 4x100 heat but were slower than every team in the 1st heat. Where'd they find 4 100m guys to do that when they've had basically zero sprinters advance this year so far

Yes the podium should be between her, KTJ of Great Britain and Hall!! It's gonna be fun to follow!
Would love to see Hall pull it off. Like you, I hated her while she's been at Florida (and Georgia), but she is really fun to watch.
