OH2 is not a role player. And was, by far, our weakest position this year. If our pins had been Meuth, Logan and her, we would've had a much different offense ... Parra has one of, if not the, best serves in the country. And an incredibly live arm. In the semis when Texas was struggling and Phillips was in the 4, Elliott subbed her in and they set her immediately ... Is she perfect? No. Would she massively improve the quality of our gym? Absolutely.

Volleyball talk!!! This is great. My last thing on this (I think). LSU made the tournament at 16-14 with a 9-9 SEC record. We were 13-16 and 5-13. We lost 3 five set matches in SEC play and also lost to Missouri late in the season. Flip those four matches and we are at least in the conversation for a bid. An upgrade at the OH2 spot would have done that IMO given how much we struggled at that spot and how much our offense became predictable given our complete reliance on Meuth and Logan (this is not meant to be a shot at CiCI or Mia) ... Maybe there will be 10 outsides in the portal better than Parra. Maybe. We can sell playing time and a new regime. Hopefully, that's enough to grab one of them.

Not going to lie, this staff excites me! Building houston pipeline again with one of the top clubs in America while getting a solid former head coach from OU. Hoping this equates to big time names joining TAMU

I heard this rumor a few days back but didnt want to comment if ity never materialized

Wonder what this does for Jen and Mitch in regards to Houston Skyline and its offshoot here in Aggieland?

If A&M got all the top players from Houston Skyline, we would already be on the national map. We've had our fair share of great players recently (Camille Conner, Claire Jeter, Brooke Frazier, Logan Lednicky, Ava Underwood and a few others) but missed out on many of the truly elite players like the Skinner sisters, Karli Rose, Reagan Rutherford, and others. And several of the ones we did get have transferred, which happens everywhere nowadays. And the same could be said for a program that pulled all the top talent from TAV Dallas probably, or any number of other clubs across the America. But Jen and Mitch Woods (and others including Aggie Amy Houser Burk) have built Skyline into one of THE top clubs in the USA, and have been "recruiting" top players to their program since players were 12 and 13 years old. Matching playing style, court needs, scholarships and positions can be tricky at the college level, so you can't just steer everyone to one school. But I like the idea of having an inside track to the elite high school players. That being said, Bird had a great relationship with Skyline and other clubs as well, but hopefully the new regime will be able to sign a few more elite players each recruiting cycle instead of just great players. That's really all it takes, 2-3 elite players per year and couple of great players. And then keep them. And coach them.

A poster on the volleyball board hinted that we've already landed a very talented big10 transfer. That's all the details I have. Seems to be a former Skyline player
