What a great win! Came back from the dead in that fifth set. 2-0 against two decent squads. Kentucky lost to LSU tonight. Keep stacking wins and see what happens.

Reminder. Rematch with Tennessee again today at 2. We need another victory against the mid tier teams as LSU has defeated two top tier teams already this season which is extremely impressive for what I expected from them this season.
Up 16-14 in 1st. Working middles more. Not passing great has setter scrambling.
Down 19-20. Underwood got the start at libero and doesn't look too sharp so far.

Aggies get swept at home by the Tennessee team we beat yesterday.
I'm all honesty, the refs and rough calls helped us with the comeback yesterday. We should have lost. But I'll take the W.
Our blocking disrupted all parts of our game today. We couldn't play defense around it, Elena couldn't set consistently today, serve receive was below average

I've watched several games this season but not nearly everyone one of them. Seemed our serve receive and general passing was not sharp at all today. Is that something we generally struggle with, or just an off day?
Just looked tired. Too many mental mistakes. But I do like how this team fights…they are easy to root for even if sometimes their play isn't easy to watch.

I would say it was a good week for TAMU getting a split against Tennessee and a win on the road against Ole Miss.
Meuth May very well be SEC player of the week with 68 kills, 25 digs and hitting .388 for the week. She attacks hard from OH and from the service line. If her serves are in she can get aces or make the opponent be out of system.
Maddie Browser had a great week as well with only one hitting error for the entire week. 29 kills with one error and hit .636 for the week. The other middle spot was up and down and we failed collectively at blocking on Sunday getting swept by Tennessee. Logan got her kills but has too many errors right now. She will be and is at times a complete beast on the RS but we need fewer errors. She and Meuth both have the ability to terminate the point. The problem is that from the RS it might be a point for us or our opponent. CiCi is holding her own at OH2. She has gotten better at minimizing errors and got some points from that position and on Saturday had a few tough sets placement wise giving her a low of .154 and a couple of those that caused a lower hitting percentage weren't really on her exclusively.
We make too many errors from the service line really not good against Ole Miss on Wednesday. Our blocking was better against Ole Miss and Tennessee on Saturday but looked non existent on Sunday causing the defense to not be able to adjust in the back row.
Going forward we have got to do better in the end game in tight sets. Over the week we had six sets that ended in a two point game. Only winning one of those (5th set on Saturday against Tennessee) and that one had a ton of delays and some replay reviews that went in TAMU favor. Kinda took the edge off Tennessee a bit giving us the match.
Georgia on the road next week. To stay in upper tier we need to win both of those matches. Which I think we are the better team but I think we are much better than Ole mIss and we barely escaped with a road win.
LSU looked much better than I expected and took two of three against the much better teams in our conference in Arkansas and Kentucky wins and Florida also took a loss as well over the weekend.

My understanding is the format will go back to the way it was before Covid either before or for sure after the three new schools are added by 2025
upside so far is the SEC looks weaker than expected. Opportunity to move up in the standings and rack up a few extra wins.
Away at Georgia both today and tomorrow. We need to win both as a couple of teams that we play later on are playing much better ball than we are and Auburn looked pretty good in a win against Miss State which looked like a win later in season.
Literally 3 straight service errors

I don't understand this team. The serving is beyond horrible. That's within our control, also.
Agreed….. the lack of focus of things you can control baffles me. There is a huge lack of discipline. Serving, blocking, defensive positions, communication, etc.
Kind of thinking Byrd is on her way out after the season, just isn't where the program should be. Kind of miss the Corbellis and the consistent second round appearances in the NCAA tournament
