Watching the Flames constantly have at least two guys up in the offensive zone forcing the Stars into bad passes, failed zone exits, etc. And then the second the Stars turn it over in their offensive zone, they all vacate like it's offside and they have to tag up.

Yeah pretty ridiculous to do that and STILL give up 60 shots
Some of yall forget the Lindy Ruff Era. Lots of Goals but couldn't play defense for **** and did nothing in the playoffs.We do have a better goalie but still.....we do have some studs like Harley ( hes ready),Borque and Johnston almost ready to go. We need to resign Raffl and Nemstikoff and personally, ill miss Kilngburg. Nill hit home runs with our free agent class this season and I trust him to do the same this off season. We have a bright future in my opinion.

Razor was on with the Musers this morning. Of course he didn't let on whether he wants Bones back or not but it was all, "he was the perfect man for the job after the Montgomery fiasco and during the bubble". He insinuated that bringing him back would be like saying, let's try this one more time and see if it works. I can't see Nill wanting or even being allowed to do that. Besides, they were dangerously close to firing him at midseason. Not sure barely making the playoffs and a first round exit (despite historical goaltending) moves the needle.

Would the Stars consider former Stars "great" Kirk Muller?
-Has assistant and head coaching experience
-Known for making players accountable and helping young players adjust
-He's thought of as a coach that players love to play for but is also intense
-*Track record of getting good offensive production out of his players.

Todd Nelson is likely to at least get strong consideration. Familiar with the organization and roster and was pretty good down in Grand Rapids. If I had to bet, I'd say this is where they go.

I have mixed emotions about it. It's clear the players enjoyed playing for him but it's also clear he was not getting everything out of them that he should have been. He's coached more games professionally than anyone else for a reason... he knows a lot about hockey but hopefully a change will help the team meet its potential.

Derek Laxdal, John Stevens and Todd Nelson will not return. Kelly Forbes, Matt Rodell and Jeff Reese are not affected by these moves.

Reese and Forbes are definitely the two I'd keep from this staff.
And by all accounts, he's just a really good guy. I was more than ready for a change at head coach, but I will always think fondly overall of Bones. I hope the rest of the fanbase will as well. The over celebrating on Twitter right now is a bit much.
I'll be forever grateful for leading the team on the run through the bubble. The right guy, at the right time, when everything else in the world was a **** show.
We didn't really deserve to win the Calgary series...but one more favorable bounce and I think we'd have a darn good chance of knocking Edmonton out and going to our 2nd conference final in 3 playoffs. He didn't consistently get the best from this team, but he and Benn seemed to have a partnership that managed to bring out some special things when it mattered the most.
The team has some issues that would have been and are going to continue to be an issue under any coach. But right move, as he's not the guy to lead the transition to a roster built around Robertson/Hintz/Heiskanen/Oettinger
