All in all, we took their best shot and survived. Now take the energy from the fight, regroup and come out strong in the 2nd. We have done that all year long.
As bad as the 1P was, we're only down 1-0.

Well, we weathered the 1st period storm down only 1. I'd consider that a moral victory.

All in all an ok period. They are a dumb team so that should help if we can score on the pp. They also got zero shots on the second pp so we settled down.
The stars could not have had a sloppier puck handling first period in a raucous environment against an offensive juggernaut and we're only down 1 from a questionable PP.

Klinger and Anderson got game misconducts for their dustup. We're now without our 2nd best dman the rest of the night.

This Tkachuk is slightly less of a jackass, and not quite as ugly as the one playing for Ottawa. Brady's face is much more punchable.
