Klingberg wants way more money than that. He has also been terrible this year.

At the end of the day he is the odd man out with Robertson and Hintz needing to be paid. Robertson will get a deal around $9 million a year. No room for Klingberg and he should understand that.

I agree - but he's already expressed frustration about wanting a new contract and staying here. So to see Pavelski get another year at $5.5M has got to push him over the edge.

The Stars were due for a losing streak. This was a stretch of the schedule that had me worried. Better win against Montreal and the Islanders or it could get ugly.

Hopefully they can get back in this one, but it's not looking good.

I used to think Goligoski was terrible. Boy was I wrong. He was a very good player on a crap team. Still is. Poor guy.

I always felt like Goldfish needed to develop more and he wasn't doing it in Dallas or Cedar Park. Good, but not getting over the hump. He got the development he needed when he left.

Trade deadline approaching. Here are the two prevailing rumors that are out there:

New York Rangers interested in Radulov.
Stars are interested in Nick Leddy.

Even though I've sported a Rads jersey since he arrived, I'd be ok with both moves. Rads won't be back next season and is basically burried on the 4th line anyway. It would open a spot for a young guy to get more playing time.
A Leddy rental wouldn't cost terribly much and certainly shouldn't involve a decent prospect. It should help with offensive contribution from the D while Miro is out and would make your defense fairly potent if/when you get to the postseason.

Since both are out there, we probably won't see either move, but I can't see the Stars doing much. Any movement will probably be something of equal or even lesser significance. We'll see...

Well, Holtby must be done for the season as we have traded for Wedgewood from Arizona. It's a good move as he is a solid goalie and Otter can't play every game.
