Is there a stat for the club that sucks the most at hitting empty nets? I feel like the stars have to be leading it? I'm glad they held on. In other news, is anyone going to the game on the 22nd? I'd kill for a razor bobblehead, but my kid has dance and no way I'm making it from Burleson.
Read somewhere today that Dallas is next to last in shooting percentage at an empty net. I think Ottawa is worst.
Just thinking back, we could've won two division games off top of my head if just hit an empty net.

If we get the 3rd spot in our division we'd have to go through St. Louis and (presumably) the Colorado Avalanche.
If we get the top Wild Card spot we'd get put into the other division (since the Avs would have the best record and get to play the worst wild card) and have to go through Calgary & (presumably) the LA Kings.

It's crazy to think we'd prefer the 7, but I kinda would. That said, the only thing that would bring me more joy than bearing the blues in the playoffs would be beating any East team in the playoffs.
We are only 4 points back of the Blues for the 2nd spot in the Central. That is definitely in play as well
