Warms my heart to see Bryce Deadmon, Athing Mu, Tyra Gittens, and Fred Kerley eating together and spending time together in the Olympic Village! Amazing Aggies l!

I hope they show Annie Kunz in the heptathalon on tv. Hopefully, she will bring home the gold.

Mu should have an easy time advancing to the semis. I'm not sure if it's all based on times or if she needs to win her heat, either way she should still win her heat easily. She would probably only need a 1:59 to advance to the next round. Alemu of Ethiopia will take it out fast until Mu decides to take it over and control the race from there. She will run tomorrow approximately at 8:41pm central time! It can be streamed on NBC Sports App or Peacock!

Athing Mu does have the fastest time in the world this year with her 1:56.07, 4 other olympians have gone under 1:57. Leading that pack is Rose Mary Almanza of Cuba and Notoya Goule of Jamaica. Almanza can run well but ran a poor race in her last outing! Goule can run well as well but doesn't have the closing speed as other. Other medal contenders will be Worka Getachew of Ethiopia (1:56.67), Keely Hodgkinson of Great Britain (1:57.51) and the other Americans Reavyn Rogers and Ajee Wilson. I whole heartedly and unbiasedly believe Athing Mu will be standing atop that podium in Tokyo. No other 800 runner has closing speed like Athing Mu does. The competition will be closer and she'll have more company the last 200 of the race but I think Mu will run away from pack. Mu should easily win her prelims and semi heats to advance to the finals. After her prelim tomorrow, semi's will be Saturday morning, then she will have a 3 day break till the final on August 3rd. Mu will be as fresh and prepared as ever. She has been in Tokyo since the weekend and will be locked and loaded and ready to roll! I'm expecting the American record to break and Athing Mu to win her FIRST OF MANY Olympic Gold!

The mixed gender 4x400 relay will be on Friday morning at 6am. Bryce Deadmon will be running for the USA and Charokee Young will be running for Jamaica. Both should be on the podium with Bryce and America running away with the gold! I would love it and be laughing my butt off if both Deadmon and Young are on the same relay leg lol.

The Olympics has been hard to watch; there is a lot of coverage, but it's hard to find what you want to watch unless you happen upon it. It seems like they will state, Track, Tennis, Swimming, and then I'll turn it to that station and I'm watching beach volleyball. LOL
