The Championship match was the best I've seen from a pure competitiveness standpoint.

No quit in either team. The little Russian girl from Pepperdine was quite a fighter but she just couldn't quite pull it off two nights in a row.

I'd expect one or two of the Texas freshmen to turn pro. Pretty amazing recruiting class.

After 1 season at USC and 1 season at Virginia, Carson Branstine is transferring and has verbally committed to

. Will make her collegiate debut in spring of 2022. Had knee & hip surgery in February and has WTA career-high rankings of #468 in singles and #203 in doubles.

In 2017, the International Tennis Federation ranked Branstine the No. 4 junior player in the world.
Branstine has many notable accomplishments including winning the 2017 Australian Open and 2017 French Open junior doubles titles. In addition to being the doubles champion in both of those Junior Grand Slam events, she was a quarterfinalist in singles at both the 2017 Junior Wimbledon and the 2016 Junior US Open.

Need to start calling Weaver "Captain America". Nice to see a state university with a roster full of American players. Hard to find that anywhere else in the sport of tennis.On another note, Constance Branstine was her older sister and was signed to play for A&M several years back so there is obviously some history there with the family.

I don't think Jayci moves down past 3. She was playing lights out at the end of last year. While Katya hasn't returned to freshmen form, she's no lower than 5.

Not sure that would be correct. With those lineups, it'll only be Renee on the bench. 2 were Seniors. Again, I plan on being at the NCAA's this year ('22) and will be cheering them on.
