Earlier this month, eight Texas A&M baseball players were selected in the 2026 MLB Draft, and seven of them signed professional contracts. As more Aggies begin to progress through the minors and up to the big leagues, here's a recap of the last five drafts from an A&M perspective.

An NCBWA Stopper of the Year finalist as a junior, Texas A&M right-hander Clayton Freshcorn was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 19th round of the 2026 MLB Draft. Freshcorn posted 12 saves with a 2.82 ERA and 1.05 WHIP as A&M's top reliever this spring.
Outfielder Jake Duer picked by Arizona in 18th round
After spending just one season in Maroon & White, Texas A&M outfielder Jake Duer was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 18th round, 536th overall, in the 2026 MLB Draft. In 2026, Duer slashed .304/.406/.479 in 217 at-bats as he started all 57 games for the Aggies.
Aggie right-hander Weston Moss selected in 11th round by Washington
The sixth Texas A&M product has come off the board as right-hander Weston Moss was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 11th round, 316th overall, in the 2026 MLB Draft. A junior this spring, Moss struck out 69 batters across 64.1 innings pitched.
Aggie catcher Bear Harrison selected in the fifth round by the Yankees
Spending two seasons in Maroon & White, Texas A&M backstop Bear Harrison was selected by the New York Yankees in the fifth round, 160th overall, in the 2026 MLB Draft. As a junior in 2026, Harrison hit .297 with a 1.121 OPS in 53 games that included 52 starts behind the plate.

Texas A&M left-handed pitcher Shane Sdao was selected by the New York Mets in the fourth round, 120th overall, in the 2026 MLB Draft. Considered MLB.com's No. 95 draft-eligible prospect, Sdao was 13-6 with a 5.22 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP across his three seasons at A&M.
Angels select All-American infielder Gavin Grahovac 81st overall
One of the best to ever play in Maroon & White, infielder Gavin Grahovac was selected by the Los Angeles Angels with the 81st overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. The Texas A&M legend finishes his collegiate career as a .313 hitter with 33 doubles, 47 home runs and 146 RBI in 130 games.
Cubs select All-American outfielder Caden Sorrell 62nd overall
One of the most complete outfielders to ever play at Texas A&M, Caden Sorrell was selected by the Chicago Cubs with the 62nd overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. A program legend, Sorrell finishes his Aggie career as a .316 hitter with 46 home runs and 151 RBI in 144 games played.
Historic! Nationals select Aggie infielder Chris Hacopian 11th overall
Spending just one season in Maroon & White, Texas A&M infielder Chris Hacopian made his mark on Aggieland, and on Saturday, he became just the 16th Aggie to be selected in the first around when the Washington Nationals selected him with the 11th overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft.
