It was an impressive regular season for Texas A&M baseball.
Michael Earley’s second season bore much more fruit than his debut as the Aggies rolled to a 39-13 overall record and 18 conference victories.
Despite being picked 13th in the league, A&M placed third at 18-11 behind a bevy of impressive individuals both at the plate and on the mound.
As a result, six Aggies were honored on postseason All-SEC teams.
Gavin Grahovac, Chris Hacopian, Caden Sorrell and Clayton Freshcorn appear on the first team. Rookies Nico Partida and Jorian Wilson received All-Freshman honors, and Grahovac and Sorrell secured Defensive Team selections.
First-Team
Gavin Grahovac - First/Third Baseman - Junior from Orange, Calif.
2026 Stats: .351/.436/.725, 74 H, 70 R, 16 2B, 3 3B, 19 HR, 71 RBI

The clubhouse’s unquestioned leader, both on and off the field. Playing just six games in 2025, Grahovac returned with a vengeance and constantly did whatever the 2026 club needed, including moving from third base to first in his draft year. Appearing as though he were a seasoned veteran defensively at first base, he combined elite defense with even better offensive production, leading the Aggies in hits and runs scored out of the leadoff spot. A scary moment at Missouri on March 27 ignited an inferno, as 13 of Grahovac’s 19 home runs have come in conference play, and his next round-tripper will make him just the second Aggie (Jace LaViolette) to enjoy two 20-home run seasons during their time in College Station. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, many believe the Californian has possibly played his way into the first round of the upcoming draft. An already well-decorated collegiate player, the 2024 SEC Freshman of the Year will become an All-American (again) shortly and is currently a Golden Spikes Award Semifinalist.
Chris Hacopian - Second Baseman/Designated Hitter - Junior from Potomac, Md.
2026 Stats: .315/.407/.555, 46 H, 30 R, 8 2B, 9 HR, 33 RBI
What will likely be his lone season in Maroon & White has been marred by injury after injury after injury, but he remained one of the most productive second basemen in college baseball in his 37 games played. A highly-touted transfer portal prospect out of Maryland, Hacopian joined the Aggies to form a dangerous three-headed monster atop Earley’s lineup. An early back issue sidelined him for a week in February before he reaggravated the injury after crushing a homer vs. Virginia Tech in Arlington. Then, at LSU, he wore a Mavrick Rizy fastball off his face but didn’t miss any time. Since colliding with Jorian Wilson at Florida on April 26, Hacopian has been relegated to DH-only duties, but home runs allow him to trot instead of run. His toughness embodies the Aggie spirit, and big swings have allowed him to win games at LSU and Ole Miss. Like the other members of A&M’s junior triumvirate, Hacopian projects to be a first-rounder in July.
Caden Sorrell - Centerfielder - Junior from Highland Village, Texas
2026 Stats: .343/.434/.768, 71 H, 63 R, 17 2B, 1 3B, 23 HR, 74 RBI

A powerful left-handed bat and an elite defender in the outfield, his first full season was clearly his best. After being brought on slowly as a freshman and missing time due to injury as a sophomore, the junior showed why he is thought to be a potential first-rounder in July’s MLB Draft. A quiet leader, Sorrell is climbing A&M leaderboards as his 46 career home runs currently rank fifth in school history, and his next would tie the legendary John Byington. With 74 RBI this year alone, the former Marcus Marauder sits ninth on the program’s single-season list, currently two behind Scott Livingstone. That’s elite company to keep, but with his elite abilities, Sorrell leads his current company in a host of categories, including homers (23), doubles (17), RBI (74), slugging percentage (.768), stolen bases (10) and OPS (1.202). The SEC Player of the Week after Opening Weekend, the Golden Spikes Award Semifinalist was also a 2024 Freshman All-SEC selection and a 2025 Preseason Second Team All-SEC pick. All-American honors are surely on their way as well.
Clayton Freshcorn - Right-Handed Relief Pitcher - Junior from Waller, Texas
2026 Stats: 24 app, 3-2, 12 saves, 2.42 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 50 K, 5 BB in 44.2 IP
The league could not slight this slightly-framed right-hander. As the SEC’s leader in saves, Freshcorn is much more than the prototypical “closer.” More of a stopper, the hard-thrower from Waller has accumulated 12 saves, which currently sits in a tie for fourth with Kasey Kalich (2019) on A&M’s single-season leaderboard as Freshcorn chases down Jason Jester and Nolan Hoffman, who both posted 14 in 2013 and 2018, respectively. Of those dozen saves, eight have covered at least two innings, and seven have slammed the door on conference victories. A junior college transfer from McClennan, Freshcorn has turned into Earley’s most trusted reliever in his second season in College Station. Now equipped with the first all-conference honor of his career, the 6-foot, 180-pounder can continue to build his National Stopper of the Year resume, and if the voters remain impressed, Freshcorn would join Evan Aschenbeck as just the second Aggie to win that award.
All-Freshman Team
Nico Partida - Third Baseman - Freshman from Manvel, Texas
2026 Stats: .317/.418/.585, 52 H, 41 R, 8 2B, 12 HR, 41 RBI
An SEC Freshman of the Year candidate until he suffered a hamstring pull in early May, the Pearland product traded his Oiler colors for an Aggie shade of Maroon. The three-time first-team All-State pick then thrived in his first season at the collegiate level. An advanced hitter and player in a 6-foot frame, Partida’s .317 average is third among Aggie qualifiers behind Grahovac and Sorrell, while his 12 home runs tie Jorian Wilson for third on the club. Though listed as a two-way player on A&M’s roster, Partida has not pitched for the Aggies and probably won’t, but his insane arm strength and talent are apparent at the hot corner. Though charged with six errors at third base, Partida’s defense has been stout and could provide an additional boost in the postseason as he creeps closer and closer to returning from the aforementioned injury. The league, the nation and the baseball world have already taken notice of Partida’s talents as some pundits are projecting him as the possible No. 1 overall pick in the 2028 MLB Draft.
Jorian Wilson - Right Fielder - Freshman from Hallettsville, Texas
2026 Stats: .302/.373/.667, 38 H, 35 R, 6 2B, 2 3B, 12 HR, 32 RBI
Hallettsville has been kind to Aggie baseball. First, there was the Hammer. Now, there is the Howitzer. Though Mike Elko is often at Blue Bell Park, the 6-foot-4, 240-pound Wilson is not a two-sport star in Aggieland like he was in high school when he played quarterback for the Brahmas. Instead, the talented youngster is a five-tool player who is a budding superstar in college baseball’s best league. Though inexperience kept him out of the lineup early, Wilson made his presence known in 40 games that included starts in the last 28 games of 2026. His strong right arm all but sealed a Sunday win at Florida by erasing Blake Cyr at home plate to end the eighth, but his strength is most often on display on tape-measure home runs, regardless of whether they’re pull-side rockets or back-side moon shots. The SEC’s Freshman of the Week after the Aggies swept Mizzou, the accolade furthers Wilson’s case to be the next in a line of elite A&M outfielders that has included Braden Montgomery, Jace LaViolette and Sorrell in recent years.
