Nice solid top 15-20 class. Should help continue building toward the future and our championship pursuits.

Gig'em!

You recruit 15-20 classes and I'll recruit Top 5 classes and we'll see who wins championships. This class only wins a championship if you recruit Top 5 classes in '24 and '25.
It would be nice to get top 5 classes from now on. This year's class is top 15 in numbers only, the quality is similar to much higher classes. Don't discount that. It's a great depth filler. Besides, what's' the difference in having a top 5 class where half bolt vs a top 15 class where most all stick? We have to get better at retention and development.

How will you pull in a top 5 class after going 5-7 and 2-6 in conf.?
Ask the nutless bovines , they went 5-7 (3-6 conf) in 2021 and had the #5 signing class in 2022

Are we done now or will anyone else trickle in (excluding Hicks on Friday)?

The days where off season of early signing days as a grade of teams is long gone. If the portal is her to stay the way it currently is you will have to add both portal exits and entrants and draftees and HS signees to decide if you got better or not.

In three years the best coaches will be able to not only have depth but able to plug in the needs annually on the two deep.

Actually got some OT prospects this year which will help with depth, actually think all four played tackle in high school and have decent size

Got some warm bodies with some speed at LB, once again a position of need especially of depth.

DB became a need with a lot leaving and filled those spots.

Only got one WR but he is a good one, should be able to get 1-2 in the transfer portal to fill the needs of depth

QB to me is a prospect but not very accurate. Difficult to get another 5 star when we have a true fish returning for at least 2 more years.

Didn't get much help on DL but we have several studs coming back, not the biggest of needs.

TE is not the biggest need but Platt has the size to be a 4 down player, will fill out to 250 easily. Green is more H-back size and Johnson is close. They still have time to gain some weight but if we keep using TEs like we have in the past we can always use more.

Overall a decent class that we got positions of need. Not like the Sumlin classes where we got six 4-star WR and one 5-star where half never saw the field. To me LB is a spot of immediate need and while the guys that we got are quick they need some more weight. Still think we need another from the portal for this year
