Wow that is really encouraging how high your spike ab still is!

I still haven't gotten it either.

N= negative
S= 599

Not bad I guess with one J&J shot in April 2021.

For some context

April 2021 - J&J shot
Sept 2021 - 694
Dec 2021 - 928
Feb 2022 - 759
July 2022 - 599

So it is dropping now but I am holding out for the Novavax for a booster.

Same boat...surprised too because my wife had it in February (along with likely one of my kids who never tested positive) but my March antibody test was negative. I felt like crud for a few days in May that I thought might have been it since there were folks at work that were positive at the time (at-home tests were negative though).

N=0.0 for all 4 tests

March/April 2021 - Pfizer shots
Aug 2021 - 747
Nov 2021 - 455
Mar 2022 - 320
Jul 2022 - 231

That's low enough that I'm considering getting a booster although I really was hoping there would be something available targeting new variants by now (like the flu shot).

Wife's results:
March/April 2021 - Pfizer shots
Sep 2021 - N:0/S:1699
Jan 2022 - N:0/S:1148
Feb 2022 - Positive Covid at-home test (they actually do work!)
May 2022 - N:27.8/S:>2500

There is supposed to be an Omicron 5-6 booster this fall based on what I am reading. Of course "still in the planning stages".

I'm planning on getting Novavax once it is available.

A 'breadth of protection': Novavax's newly approved COVID vaccine arms the U.S. with a new weapon against Omicron BA.5 subvariant (yahoo.com)

Plus it is made in Aggieland!
Novavax vaccine approval to have big benefits for BCS area (kbtx.com)

4th yesterday. Pfizer in March/April last year, very mild covid in July 2021, then husband had it last month but only 1 day was bad and the remaining time was mild.

N:
August '21 4.6
December '21 8.9
February '22 6.7
July '22 124 <this one was super interesting to me considering I was single digits from my mild Covid last year. I guess having recent exposures around me is how it got so high.

S:
All 4 >2500. Pretty excited that this recent one is still high. I don't want to do the booster because I had thyroid cancer last fall so would rather not introduce another shot that may throw off my body while I'm recovering.

Had my blood draw for round 4 this morning.

Virginia at CPL labs at the Med did one one the top 5 blood draws I've ever had. I'm still not sure she did anything!

Outstanding. My son had her for a blood draw recently and said the same thing.

If you don't like needles go see Virginia. You won't know she had a needle.

Sent in an email and got a text back the next day.

My N Protein (low 100's) increased slightly since my 3rd draw 9 months ago, but my S protein shot up from less than 100 to about 2300.

I'm wondering if the sore throat I had last month was a variant causing the S "spike". My 3rd draw was about a month after I probably had the Delta variant.

Had Moderna in February and March of 2021. No boosters. No infection despite a positive test last July (have 0 natural antibodies throughout this study).

Surprised my levels are still so high.

Spike protein, not serum.

Spike proteins are present in both natural and vaccination immunity.

You had it in January for sure, omicron wave. Based on those results at least.

These high S values for unvaxed individuals are outliers (range 71.8-543 with a median of 89.6 U/mL) according to page 14 of the October study:
https://sph.uth.edu/projects/texascares/docs/TexasCARES%20-%20October%20Report.pdf

Are these due to a 2nd infection or some other explanation?

The decrease in N, followed by an increase in chap's data points to a reinfection, but I'm wondering if the high S value is another indicator.

You will get a bump in both with wild infection. It is possible to have an asymptomatic infection as well that can bump your S title but not your N as the assault is defeated at the gate and doesn't become systemic.

KidDoc, with my numbers still above 2500 on the S panel, would a booster of the current formula really provide any more immunity than what I have already?

I'm interested in a new formula booster in the fall but not sure if another round of Moderna will add benefit.

*I know you can't offer me medical advice on an individual basis*

With your numbers I would advise no boosters until omicron specific or novavax.

It's been a year since my 3rd blood draw. Had my 4th done yesterday. I had the original Moderna series in Jan/Feb 21 and have had 2 boosters (Dec 21 and June 22). I tested negative for N antibodies until this recent test. Covid went through my household in mid-late December 21. I thought I was spared, but it looks like I must have had an asymptomatic case.

Just went in to get my draw and was told that they can't fine my Req ID and that I would have to call and figure it out. She mentioned it had been happening a lot recently.

So the Req ID that was in your text message was invalid? Or you didn't receive a text message and they can't find your lab order?

You had COVID sometime between January and June.

You currently have robust immunity.

Moderna 2 shots Jan/Feb 21. 1st booster Oct 21 Second booster May22
Have not tested possitive, but had a wicked sore throat after Christmas 21...was exposed for 45 minutes at Christmas dinner to a niece that tested possitive 2 hours after we left. They didn't realize she was running a fever and had a headache. Husband got it in April, but I had no symptoms.

N protein Positive 12.5
S protein >2500

So, I'm guessing I got it at some point. Could the N12.5 still be from if I had it at Christmas? Or could it be I had it more recently and just didn't know?

Most likely still high from your Christmas omicron infection. No real way to tell without midpoint data.. like if it was 5 a month ago and now it is 12 you had a re-exposure, if it was 15 a month ago and now 12 it is slowly coming down from the infection.

I figure I had original COVID back in Feb 2021....then again (unbeknownst to me) in between December and March of '22. Does the above reflect another reinfection between March and July '22?

If so, I had no idea I had the scary Omicron!!!!!!!!
