COVID-19 Antibodies, Spike Protein (Quantitative)
109

SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Total Antibodies
NEGATIVE *

SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Total Antibodies Quantitative

I know for sure I've been exposed multiple times but one of the closest was 10 months ago (pre-vax)

109 is pretty low huh?

Your second number being 0 means you have never been infected/exposed to COVID.

You should probably get a text sometimes in November. I believe it's 3 months till your second draw.

I signed up for this study but took a while to get my first draw and they said I missed my chance and I am out.

Can someone tell me how I can have the same test done outside of the study? I don't mind paying for it. I want the separate vaccine and natural results.

I was infected in June of 2020. Mine is roughly a 15% decline over last 3 months in first leg of study. I just took J&J right after the 2nd blood draw, so in Jan we will see what that does to my Spike number. I expect the N protein to still continue to decline after vax.

Blood draw on Tuesday

38, male, sub 25 BMI, Pfizer second shot 3/6

S - 1397

Just got the spike protein test during my yearly physical. Was just interested in seeing if my immune system would need a booster. Did not feel the need to get the antibody test because I have never tested positive for COVID up to this point even though my known exposures are approaching double digits and each of those exposures were followed up with two different test to confirm infection or not.

2nd blood draw for Texas Cares study.

1st was 2300.
2nd is 1975.

What is the bottom threshold where you recommend a booster?

LabCorp. Not very expensive even if your insurance doesn't cover it.

I just got my results for the S protein and it was positive and the number was greater than 2500. I got my second Moderna shot over 10 months ago. The test cost me $6. I guess this means I will not need any boosters anytime soon.

I am thinking about getting the N protein test too but will need my doctor to order it because I couldn't figure out how to get that directly from labcorp.

Got my second blood draw on Friday. Had a moderately severe case of Covid very early on in March 2020 including pneumonia (spent a few days in the hospital), have not been vaccinated:

First Draw (Aug 2021):
N Protein: 100
S Protein: >2500

Second Draw (Nov 2021):
N Protein: 84.1
S Protein: >2500

Slight drop in N Protein levels over the past few months, but still very high. S Protein levels remain very high at > 2500. I am now under a vaccine mandate at work and unsure of the best path forward - seeking medical exemption but does not look promising so far.

If you get it be prepared to have a strong reaction to the vaccine.

I would consider challenging it legally and using your antibody results as part of your evidence.

Updated my plots looking at TexAgs antibody levels from this study.
First looking at N-Protein:

and then looking at S-Protein Antibodies:

for those not familiar with box & whiskey plots, the horizontal line in the center of the box is the avg. of each data set, the box encompasses the middle 2 quartiles of the data for each set, and then the whiskers show the outer bounds of each set.

edit: i used 2501 for the value any time a result said >2500, so the upper end is obviously clipped

just got my results from my second screening, blood draw was yesterday

  • 2/20/21 - second Moderna shot (no known history of infection)
  • 8/4/21 - N Protein: 0 , S Protein: 2247
  • 11/8/21 - N Protein:0 , S Protein: 1363

was surprised by the size of the drop, but I guess its still a pretty high level. curious to see what it looks like in 3 more months

Wow really nice to see the stable S protein- not surprising since you have natural + vax immunity.

Got my results back today from 2nd draw.

2nd shot of moderna Feb 1st 2021
Covid ran thru my house in late June 21. My wife ( had a really hard time with it) and all 3 of my boys had it. Boys are 12 ,10, and 7. I never got it.

1st draw 8/18/21. 1382
2nd draw 11/15/21. 898

Negative on natural antibodies.

Are these numbers considered good? When should I be looking to get the booster?

TIA

There is no hard known cutoff for immunity. Personally I would be fine as long as my titers are > 100ish so you are peachy keen for now.

Thanks for the link Dolphin!

Predictive model indicates that some level of protection from natural antibody levels may last on average 275-500 days, supporting vaccination even after infection to maintain protection. Other forms of immune response are excluded from this model

Did my second test this week. Had Covid in March. No vaccine.
First test in August. Second this week.

N went down, but S went up.

That s protein is a bit borderline- consider vaccine depending on your individual risk factors for severe COVID. This is one of the problems with systemic reliance on natural immunity, it varies significantly from person to person.
