Hard to imagine...no social distancing, kid in school, significant travel, no mask, exposed at least 3 or 4 times including very early. Not sure how we have avoided it.

My wife and I just got our result back. She was PCR positive in March. We almost missed it because it blended in with her morning sickness so well (was and is still pregnant). She had one day that was slightly worse than the rest. I took a rapid test 3 days later and was negative. If I think real hard, I may remember a sniffle or two that week. We are both unvaxxed at this point.

Me (29yo):
S: 189
N: 148

Wife (29yo):
S: 110
N: 31.5

Anyone know if our baby (due next month) is likely to inherit some antibodies? I understand the negligible risk to children, I'm just curious.

Unique case.. My mom received an incorrect positive result (clerical error) from her Covid test, received antibody infusion and then was told the test result was an error and she was actually negative for Covid. Ridiculous.
She just got her antibody results back.
Spike Protein > 2,500
SARS Exposire 0

Did her infusion raise her spike protein levels? She got her Moderna vaccine in April 2021. I'm uncertain of the antibodies used in the IV.
IV done 9/8/21
Antibody test 9/14/21

My husband's spike number was about that high a few weeks ago, and he had the Moderna in March. (no natural infection to date).

So do we have any ideas at all at this point of what they consider "good" levels of vaccine induced antibodies and when they consider them to have dipped to a level you may consider a booster?
Very good question. From the studies I could find anything over 0.8 u/ml seems to be considered seroconversion. Personally I want to see mine > 20 or so.

Spike-antibody responses following first and second doses of ChAdOx1 and BNT162b2 vaccines by age, gender, and clinical factors - a prospective community cohort study (Virus Watch) | medRxiv

Quote:

There was evidence of lower S-antibody levels with increasing age (p=0.0001). In partially vaccinated 65-79 year-olds, lower S-antibody levels were observed in men (25.9 vs 42.3 U/ml, p<0.0001), those with a chronic condition (33.0 vs 41.2 U/ml, p<0.0001), diabetes (22.32 vs 36.01 U/ml, p<0.0001), cardiovascular disease (32.1 vs 36.7 U/ml, p=0.0002), or history of cancer (30.1 vs 35.7 U/ml, p=0.0001), particularly those with haematological rather than solid organ cancer (7.48 vs 31.68 U/ml, p<0.0001), and those currently on immunosuppressive therapy (21.7 vs 35.6 U/ml, p<0.0001). Following a second dose, high S-antibody titres (250U/ml) were observed for nearly all individuals.

I would recommend a booster for anyone getting near 20 U/ml personally but I don't have hard data showing that is a hard cut off.

Is it normal for J&J to be that low, but Moderna > 2500 and I was still positive in June.

Seems like it. J&J kinda stinks I expect a booster will be announced within a month.

Had both Pfizer vaccines in March - 60 yr old male.

My first test in June - S - 500, N - 0
Second test in Sept - S -150, N - 0

So the spike protein antibody level went down from 500 to 150.

Why the black eye? This is good. This is the natural reaction for a healthy body.

Your body's reaction and production of antibodies should lower naturally. The only reason your numbers should stay the same or be higher would be if you are in constant contact with the virus.

That is a REALLY rapid decline if you look at it as a percent though and with extrapolation shows you will be minimally immune in no time at all really. Dropping roughly 50% of your titer per month. You should have t cell protection but this pattern is likely why we are seeing so much break through with Pfizer and why they are talking about boosters 6 months after 2nd dose.

I still have high titers to hep B from my shot in the late 90s and my varicella titers are high from infection in the 70s. Different bugs I know but they are trying to keep neutralizing antibodies reasonably high to help with outbreaks and hopefully that delayed 3rd dose will lead to long term titers but only time will tell.

Blood drawn yesterday (Sept 16); results today.

Vaxx'd with Pfizer; last dose on May 2nd.
Tested Positive for COVID on Sept 3rd (very mild case, basically just loss of taste and smell).

S: Positive > 2500
N: Positive = 9

Signed up Wednesday and had my first blood draw yesterday. Home tested positive on 8/25 after wife's PCR came back positive. Was a mild case with mostly fatigue.

Spike protein out of range- you got the best immunity with vax then wild infection.

The values are outside of the normal range which should be no evidence of immunity if you are not vaccinated and never had disease. Normal is undetectable, anything else is out of range.

70 years old. Spike Protein 199. Diagnosed with Covid on Monday. Moderna vaccine in Jan-Feb. Mild symptoms so far. No fever. Feels like head cold. Wife is same except loss of smell. Dr. has prescribed infusion for both of us but don't want to take it away that has issues. What do you think?

Get the infusion if you can. Earlier the better, very low risk.
