From the hospital pts I've taken care of, day 7 or so seems to be the time when you either improve or worsening respiratory status occurs. A sentinel time during the illness.
Hope you recover quickly. Just a. Data point, but day 11 I went to the ER and diagnosed with pneumonia from the Covid. Steroids and antibiotics while in the hospital for a week, oxygen (have a system at home I use for sleep), blood thinner as they found a clot behind my right knee (still on those for a month at least), and a cough medicine. Got out of the hospital almost 2 weeks ago, walking a little bit daily, but no way could I go do some heavy cardio workout.

That's what got in my brain, especially when I had 2-3 days of still having a 101-103 fever and the pneumonia. Told my wife and parents I love them one night, wasn't feeling like I was going to wake up the next morning. Probably dramatic but things just felt like they was getting worse, and later my doc told me he was real concerned then as all my numbers were getting worse fast. Thanked him for not telling me at the time as I was effed up thinking this could be it.

I know for my place of employment, kids schools and work, they require a negative test to be able to return if you have tested positive. I don't plan on waiting 90 days!!BCOBQ98 said:
Huh? I thought the latest recommendation was not to get retested if you've already tested positive and have it because you can shed non-viable virus cells for up to 90 days?

wow.... All I need is a negative test. No requirement of PCR.2girlsdad said:
My job won't let me back until I get a negative PCR independent of how long removed I am from symptoms.

Glad you are getting past this Marcus. Anything surprise you or stand out about your disease experience?
