I count 26 players in this and 99% sure that's Lessentine and Rijo shown briefly in black towards the right. Thoughts?

Volleyball plays Florida at 6 on Friday. Wish the softball scrimmage start time could be moved up so could attend both.

I feel like there should be a pause on annually raising the season ticket prices until we make it out of our own regional

It does seem like a bold choice considering our recent history.

Unpopular opinion… I think the prices have been too low. Season tickets have sold out last couple of years, and a lot of reserved seats go unused (until allowed to fill in) for majority of the games.

Yes - there have been disappointing season endings. But the program is now able to pay incoming freshmen and it's showing on our last few HS recruiting cycles.

Softball season ticket renewals have started. Current holders can opt in for opportunity to add/change seats sometime in December pending availability.

I love my seats. I love following this team. That being said pricing out the fans who occupy their seats is the wrong approach. Eventually we left with an empty stadium of purchased by football fans looking to up their seats in Kyle.

That doesn't really apply unless they are applying a donation to the seats. But the same donation can be applied straight to the football program and get the same amount of PP.

I don't think the extra 10 points or whatever it is for having a season ticket is worth buying just to get a few more PP.

I guess it is actually becoming less of advantage than it used to be. When tickets were $100 a few year ago you got 10 points for your $100 spend vs 4 points for an extra $100 donation. Now at $300 you get 14 points vs 12 for $300 donation.

There has to be some reason half the stadium is sold to people who have never been to a game.

I have talked with some that only made a few games last couple of years. It's mostly people who like Aggie softball and want to support the team, but don't live close enough to actually attend many. They don't bother to resell and or have connections to give away unused tickets, aren't going to take the time to try via TexAgs.

I'm hoping they find a price point that keeps an affordable tier for people who can go to most of the games, but expensive enough some will think twice before renewing if they aren't. There is going to be more demand than availability again this year. I do like they are limiting to four total seats.

For us - we have made all but one home game last few years, and our section (103) comes out to $10-$11 per game in 2027.

I'm also wondering if they are freeing up any seats from accounts that never came and only resold them. Will be interesting to see what's available in December.

I saw the story on Brielle Wright on 12thman.com. She played 4 years at Princeton. Is she able to play because of the various lawsuits about the 5 to play 5 rule change?

I would love to attend more game but my schedule permits in many cases. I coach at the high school level and play most every Friday and bunch of Saturdays. Sunday is my only option and those are hit and miss. We usually make about 4-5 games a year. Obviously, not a season ticket holder.

Yes. She is protected by a Texas lawsuit injunction (per a social media post she made), which may or may not hold up. I do think most 2022 HS athletes with injunctions will be eligible if they didn't sign pro contracts.

Do you know if the court ruling allows her to exceed the 25 player roster limit also?

Last year after the house settlement schools could designate certain players as Designated Student Athletes. These do not count towards the limit. It was a one time thing to help bridge old roster limit rules to new ones. A&M didn't publish the specific players / sports other than a total number of DSAs. I don't believe softball has any but no way to know, it wasn't needed last year and is more typical for baseball and possibly football.

More likely there will be a retirement or someone not on the roster in the Spring if there are still 26.

Aggies lead 1-0 after 2 innings. Aubrey Moore has our only hit so far, a soft line drive. No other good contact besides that.

Burnett went the first 2 innings on the mound. Azua coming in to start the 3rd.

Pitcher starting the 3rd for McKennan topping out her fastball out at about 60.

Lovell - K
McKee - HBP
AK - Walk
Mya - Single thru the left side, RBI
KK- 5-4 force out
Mathis - single up the middle, RBI
Moore - double off RCF wall, 2 RBI
Sauni - 6-3

5-0 after 3 innings

All the hits that inning, were hit hard even the ones on the ground.

Bottom 4:

Paisley - aboard on E5
Hampton - single to CF
Lovell - sac bunt
McKee - HR to LF, 3 RBI
AK - HBP (Rohrlich pinch runner and SB)
Mya - line drive single over CF head, RBI
PITCHING CHANGE
KK - F8
Mathis - Triple to LF (left fielder dove and missed) RBI (as an aside, Mathis had skied a popup between the plate and mound, 4 players (P, C, 1B, 3B) looked at each other. It hit the ground probably 8 feet fair but spun hard out of play for a foul ball. Weird play)
Moore - single, RBI
Sauni - 6-3

11-0 after 4 innings

Azua back out for the 5th inning but several changes in the IF.

Miller to C
AK to 3B
Spencer to 2B
Sauni to 1B

Wright warming up in the bullpen. Looks like she will be next on the mound for the 6th, perhaps.

11-0 heading to bottom 5. Azua was sharp.

That's it for me tonight.

Aubrey Moore with another double of the RCF wall as I'm leaving. That makes her 4-4 tonight including 2 doubles. No cheap ones in there either. All hit hard.

Interesting on these, Sauni - 6-3.

Are the full stats on the scrimmage available?

Gap

I haven't seen any stats at the normal places. The official account posted this summary (but no box score):

https://12thman.com/news/2026/10/22/aggies-take-down-mclennan-highlanders-in-fall-play

As the scrimmage last 10 innings, I didn't even see half of it. It looks like I missed HRs by a couple of our freshmen after I left: Trinitey Spencer and Taylor Hampton.
