If it was anyone but Royo, I would've said we quit... damn, we've lost focus
That missed grounder, the missed out in center, the catcher not knowing what the hell is going on... Those aren't injuries.missinAggieland said:Dark_Knight said:
Thats not a good excuse
Peaking too early is not the same as injury issues. It's not an excuse, it's a fact. The injuries have been freak injuries as well.

I have a feeling you'll tell me. So what? Theyre semi pros now, getting paid to play. Expectations are higher.

Starting pitcher was a very big concern prior to the season.
It's been a concern ALL season.
And it's the main reason we are where we are.
But injuries is being used an excuse.
Sure, whatever.

These two things can exist together

So pointing out the obvious gets people pissed off? Ok.
All I am saying is we are not top 8 seed. We will host, and if we get through game 1 of a regional, I like our chances to advance to the SR. That said, I dont think we make it out of the SR. can we make Omaha? Of course, I just dont think it happens. I think 2 & Q are more likely in the SR or if we somehow make Omaha than not. I fully can admit that I could be wrong but based on what I see, I just don't see Ags making it past the SR.
If you'd said it like that instead of starting with calling people clowns you probably get a different response.
TexAgs is notorious for getting too giddy when things are going well and the exact opposite when things aren't. The top 8 seed **** was like the folks saying Marcel Reed should win the Heisman last year when it was clear to anyone with a working knowledge of sports that there was no way that would happen. What made things worse is the SID office started to promote things with "talking points." Ags buy their own propaganda.
Anyway, it gets old to come on here at times because its SSDD usually. That's on me because I tire of it. I have seen this movie before for well over 50 years.
Baseball has kept stats for years for a reason. You usually play to your mean once its established. Sure there are streaks either way, but there are averages for a reason. Ags pitching will be their undoing, and the bats have been very inconsistent lately.....lots of weak or easy outs. So its highly unlikely we make Omaha.

Those aren't injuries anymore than they are "peaking early" either
