Rare that a game goes by where Ben M. doesn't have LSU basketball stories to tell. I know it's a 16-5 game (i.e. stretching to find conversation topics), but he's just insufferable.

I was shocked someone had more than Kentucky. They need to change that rule back to where the batter has to make an attempt to avoid getting hit.

Exactly the same. Foot on chalk was considered interference by even the announcers at the SEC tournament. Considered in the runners lane here.

I'm talking about our game in which Burk said it.

In this game, if they had reversed it. He would have said it's a bad rule that rewarded a bad play by the first baseman.

I think this is the absolute wrong thing to do. If you're in the box and you get hit by a pitch in the box you take your base. Get hit by a pitch outside the box, you stay. Lean into the pitch or get hit by a pitch in the zone, you stay and it's a strike.

And definitely take away the damn armor.

If a battery is leaning over the plate, sure, he has to get out of the way.

If the pitch is in the box, then no, that's on the pitcher. Don't reward him for such a bad throw.

If it happens in that few inches between the chalk and the plate, then maybe it's appropriate thay the batter must attempt to get out the way. Good luck enforcing it
