I visited the Oregon State campus in July 2000. The RF gate at the baseball stadium was unlocked, so I walked around the outfield. It looked like a little league park. I don't remember if it even had lights.

Pat Casey built a hell of a program from absolutely *nothing*.

The beer stacking behind home reminds me of my friend Kevin's door at Law Hall Fall 1991. If you look closely, you'll see that he wrote his room number (7K) in "banquet beers."



EDIT - These were probably closer to $10 per case than per beer.

I'm almost certain that when I was a little kid (say early 1980s) you didn't have to throw pitches for an intentional walk in college. We used to go to Lamar games back then. I think that's changed twice in my lifetime.

I'm a little mystified by all y'all pulling for tuSA……yeah so they beat little brother and knocked them out of their own regional. Wouldn't having UCLA sweep them out in 2 make people look at sip and go " man y'all must have REALLY sucked"?

Yes, UCLA whipping them does indeed show that Schloss's statement was more CYA than factual.
