Embarrassing. It'll be interesting to see the decline in donations. Tough to stomach fruitless donations.

I could've gone either way on the decision… Now that it's him, I'm choosing to look at it optimistically and think that it's gonna work out

Trev keeps Joni Taylor and Early.

We now know what we have as an AD.

He doesn't give a damn about winning.

He's only concerned with the cost of buyouts.

All the more insane considering he was the one who handed Earley that buyout when Earley would've walked across coals to come coach here this year

Oh geez, I hope not.

But nothing would surprise me at this point.

If Kiel, Sorrell, and GG don't stay, we're so effed.

And we don't have a Bucky type coach to recruit players.

I'm not worried about any of those 3 leaving.

I was absolutely certain he was coming back until Kendall said he was likely gone. Kendall doubled-down earlier today that things were going on at A&M. I'm thinking Trev was ready to move on but couldn't come to terms with anyone.
If this is true then we should just turn Olsen into an intramurals park and turn out the lights on the program.

The one thing that Earley has done to date is recruit. He's got plenty he needs to wear, but that's not one of them so far.

honestly doubt he cares - we are paying him like football coach and he has a guaranteed contract.

. Agreed he's got a good to great HS class. Needs to hit the portal. Maybe that's where they are going to spend money and get new assistants to resurrect hitting and defense.

Texas A&M is a death bed for coaching careers. The coaching community knows it. That's why we have the coaches we have in our major men's sports.

What a sweet gig to work for A&M. Absolutely ZERO expectations and fully guaranteed contracts.

The athletic department is the biggest griff in America.

Schloss continues to go in dry on the Aggie athletic department leadership. I've never seen such an impressive ownership of an entity at that level. We have totally given up.

Schloss did some despicable things. But frankly, I respect that the man is actually skilled at his job and desires to win. (That's not a shot at Earley. That's a shot at Trev who does not care enough to make the tough decisions. We have a penny counter as an AD, and that AD also guaranteed Earleys contract when Earley had NO leverage.)

Texas, Arkansas, LSU,Tennessee, etc are serious about baseball and are going to absolutely bury us now.

Earley had a ton of leverage for his experience. To think differently is silly.

A bunch. There's 25 teams in this tourney that are full of players that wish they were in the ACC/SEC. Lots of these guys can hit (as I type this a Wright State hitter takes Vandy yard).

Oh there's plenty of apprentice areas out there today. Just none of them almost making a million a year.

How is Earley supposed to rebuild this roster after the disaster he commanded this spring? We have a total rebuild essentially and we lost all of our HS stud commits to Schloss and now the confidence in Earley has got to be at rock bottom so none of the portal guys are going to pick us over LSU, Tennessee and the sips.

Going to be very bleak for the Ags the next year or five.

We are truly back to the Wally Groff AD days. Sad. Glad I am not invested and just watch for entertainment when we win and don't watch seasons like this.

The only explanation is that we are so undesirable to coaching candidates that we had to keep Earley. It's the only thing that makes sense. Earley has clearly failed and done nothing to warrant keeping his job. So the only reason he is keeping his job is due to us not being wanted by any of the candidates. That should scare every Aggie.

Keeping Joni is the correct decision. No need to waste money on buying out a coach of a sport that isn't a revenue producing sport. Use that money for softball and Trisha.
is softball revenue producing? Lol

It might get pretty ugly at games next year in the stands. I know we have some great fans but they going to be feisty.

There's no support comments on that tweet for Earley.
I've got news for you. The tweets are mostly from people who have never been to Olsen Field.

Well there was someone that was at Olsen field during the Mizzou series stating the parents had some interesting comments about the coach.
You not going to say what they said?

I actually think it is true. It sounds like we got turned down by all that we talked too. Would be interesting to see the list. Did we talk to Fitzgerald at Kansas? Was the list just O'Conner and Vaughn. Hard to know

At least 40 of the coaches that have games this weekend would be an upgrade. You dont think we could get any of them?

First, there are not 40. There are only a few on that list who we could be reasonably assured would succeed in the SEC in year one.

And yes. If Trev went after anyone, they obviously said no.

If he didn't, that's another story. I'm just trying to interpret what Kendall said. I don't think he's just putting this out there to spread rumors. If he said it, I believe there's some truth behind it.

I believe Kendall when he says we were reaching out to guys. So, apparently, Trev thought no one worth the cost was interested. Maybe that says something about the job, but it almost certainly says more about Trev. When nobody wants to work for you, maybe you are the problem. I don't think it was the job itself turning off prospects.
