It has happened to pro baseball players and NFL kickers, and happens regularly to pro golfers
This is comical!GigEmADED said:jmcfar_98 said:GigEmADED said:yips?CrottyKid said:GigEmADED said:
So is the catchers still injured or can she not throw it back to the pitcher without over throwing?
Read somewhere that she has the yips.
Different girl but same condition.

Pretty embarrassing tbh I'm surprised people like that can make it at the D1 level

. . . A 2015 study defined "yips" as "a psycho-neuromuscular impediment affecting the execution of fine motor skills during sporting performance," which while long-winded, seems about as useful as any definition for an idea that encompasses a range of physical manifestations. . . . In baseball, Sax and Chuck Knoblauch lost the ability to throw to first base from second base, while Mackey Sasser experienced much the same block as Collazos. . .

And he also picked up four World Series championships. I think it was he and Terry Taylor who were really good in the middle infield back in their Aggie days.jmcfar_98 said:CrottyKid said:

A&M's Chuck Knoblauch had it where he couldn't throw the ball from 2nd to 1st.
From what I have seen this weekend she is an outstanding receiver. She is better defensively than any of our three catchers. I doubt it is the yips even if that is what the coaches say(I have not heard them say it). Lisenby, like most players also isn't going to tell her coaches she is hurting if it means leaving the lineup. She would rather claim the yips.GigEmADED said:jmcfar_98 said:GigEmADED said:yips?CrottyKid said:GigEmADED said:
