We are going to be bludgeoned in SEC play.

We are at best a .500 team. If we cannot beat these crappy low level teams, how in the hell are we going to beat teams in the SEC.

I think we are gonna basically be what Florida was last year. Finished barely over .500 and sneak into the tournament to make a run

They also lost game three of the college World Series finals the year before

Yes we should be winning these games, but we are not built to single, dink and dive. Or to manufacture runs.

The construction of our team is different. We are built to mash. This isn't an excuse, it's a statement of what we are (better yet, what we were supposed to be). We want Jace to hit 100 MPH off the bat with elevation nearly 100% of the time. We don't want him slapping the ball to the opposite field.

If you take away xBH or HR from us, we have shown to be average at best. But if those are in play, the hope is we can play with anyone, which I guess remains to be seen...

Warmer weather, no north wind, we win big.
so in other words, we're just a fair weather team

If we're lucky enough to get to Omaha, that field plays massive. Will be a lot of the same up there

Oh noessssss.

How dare they be happy for winning a game against what was supposed to be the #1 teams in the country.

It's just comical.

I've missed you this week.

So what happens if we get unlucky this season with cooler weather, rain and more north winds?

Team has to adjust to the conditions at play.

So we holding at 14 or falling a few more spots after 3-2 this week?

I won't be surprised if we drop put completely at this point. 2-2 this week against weak competition.

I have been following Aggie baseball for over 20 years and I have never heard this much excuse making. It's always cold and windy the first month of the season, this is nothing new. And I have also never heard the term unlucky baseball so much either. Just admit this team isn't as good as they were supposed to be. Can we go on a run at some point and turn things around? Sure, but signs are definitely not pointing that way. There are 10 teams in the SEC with 2 or fewer losses right now, it's going to get much harder starting this weekend

the Gators went 13-17 in league play last year...lost 8 non-conference games...regional 3-seed

that's about how the Ags profile at this point in the season

The supposed #1 overall pick on this team is batting .235 against the easiest competition we''ll see all year. It's definitely wind related. Hope he got enough NIL $$ to cover the draft dollars he's losing with his play thus far.

If you're consistently hitting fly balls and pop ups into the wind and not adjusting then it is absolutely coaching.

60% - 70% of college sports is coaching, it's why Texas is going to be really good right away. Most elite college coaches can win mostly anywhere.

The other 40 % is players and program (facilities, fanbase, support, etc...), but coaches decide really how to use players, the facilities, nil.

Coaches are really the captain behind the ship.

That's my take. Team is built for the long ball

Which is fine, if it works.

Concerned that we aren't changing our approach when needed.

I don't want to change the approach for one game when we are hitting it like we are. The guys appear to be seeing the ball well and smashing it. Tuesday will be warm and don't want to mess with swings or heads.

Great teams can win in multiple ways, we seem beholden to good weather and a wind direction that doesn't kill the long ball.

They haven't been consistent yet this year so we aren't exactly messing anything up if we try new approaches. Bottom line, we have to win against vastly inferior teams and we haven't. If it all clicks against SEC teams I'll be more than pleasantly surprised but the doubt is growing each week.

We have the second worst record in the SEC, one win ahead of an awful Mizzou team.

And whe his walk up song is " Here comes the Money"… it's just a really bad look.

Oh I didn't know that's his walk up song - how absurd. Tells you all you need to know about why he sat out in the fall and spring and why he's currently playing like he's going to max out in double AA ball after falling to the third round of the upcoming draft.

That's been his walk-up song since he got here in 2023. So your narrative fails there.

He sat out the fall because he was still healing the hamstring that he played on while injured in Omaha

Yea there's no need to attack Jace for a walk up song or missing fall ball. Those things are not connected to his performance.

Not sarcasm if it seems like it is

We aren't going to get the grace they were given with a 13-17 record even if we have similar big wins in that 13.

13-17 gets a lot of SEC teams in, Florida also had a lot of bad losses in the non conference last year like we do now, if we go 13-17 I think we'll sneak in. 12-18 though and we're left out.
