I didn't read through the entire Clearwater thread, so I don't know if there was something definitive stated there, but something is up with Enright. I saw two balls in the Okie Lite game that a 100% Enright could have chased down and possibly made a play on. Instead they sailed over her head and directly led to Oklahoma State runs being scored. Hopefully whatever is going on is something that can be overcome soon. Oddly enough it didn't affect her performance in the batter's box.

On the bright side, when Amari came back, she demonstrated exactly why she is such an important part of this team. She doesn't have the power that Mac and Maya posses, but she is a very high level SEC hitter.

The first hit seemed like she was worried about the wall. She seemed to be over that on her catch against UVA that took her into the wall.

The second one against OSU was inexplicable to me. 2 on, 2 out, bottom of the 7th, you can't let the ball get over your head.

I, for one, have really enjoyed watching the team last year and this year. Offensively, the 2025 team stacks up well vs last year's. I trust Mya's and Mac's bats plus contributions from others will prevail. and to frankie00, yes, Dede Baldwin looks the part as a reliable hitter and defender.

Kudos to their resilience Sat and early start this morning. it is going to be a great season and I will be watching every game I can.

On Allie. I like her a lot. It was her defense that kept her on the field last year when her bat went cold. She is fast, has great range, a great glove and a great arm.

But it was clear when she was slowly jogging around the bases the other day that something was wrong. Her speed, thus her range, was clearly lacking. Balls she had no problem catching in the past were not caught. Coach mentioned the other day in an interview that the main goal of an outfielder is to catch the ball. Simple but true concept.

I think she should have taken herself out of the game. Or Coach should have taken her out of the game. The team comes first.

Could have been replaced by Scout or Hailey or Harley or Kelsey. We have a lot of depth and we should have used it.

Cost us the game.

Yes, it is only one game but a game we simply gave away.

But what's done is done and we move on. But, I really hope the coaches learn from this.

I think we just need to wait to hear what's going on before making judgements. No one seems to know what's going on, and she's earned her spot.

I don't think anyone is making judgements about Allie, I doubt anyone questions whether or not she earned her spot.

I think most people are noting something that's pretty obvious to see and questioning the decision to leave her in if she's unable to run down balls and make plays.

Hmmmm. Yesterday when I pulled up the schedule it showed 1pm at the Florida A&M stadium. Now it is back to 9am at the FSU stadium.
