I get the sense there is not a lot of love lost between Vitello and Schloss. 24 hours ago I would have said Vitello was the issue. What a difference a day makes.

Thing about a guy like Vitello is that he's a jerk right to your face. It's a pain, but it's honest.

It's always the ones pretending to be nice that you have to watch for. And it's hard to catch it until it's too late.

I can't wait to hear the details. This one is going to be a humdinger.

Yea. I don't think my perspective on two individuals could change more completely than Tony V and Schloss in 15 hours. Seeing Vitello's reaction to winning and the obvious feeling he has for his players and then seeing Schloss recruit players to another school almost at the same time?!

I did wonder why Vitello went out of his way to not speak well of Schloss. Everyone knew Pierce was gone. Vitello knew Schloss was the guy and it pissed him off?? Or was there history?

I said today that this totally explains Vitello distancing himself from Schloss all week. ESPN kept trying to force a mentorship or comraderie and Vitello went out of his way to avoid the link. Either he knew or Schloss is such a ***** that Vitello despised him already.

Said already but I'll restate.....who thought 3 days ago that Vitello would come out of this as the nice one? Unbelievable...

He might act an ass during the game, but he fights for his guys.

Our former coach stood in the dugout and fought for nothing. I've also heard he let other dudes bang his ex-wife so he could bang theirs.

So, we jettisoned a POS who hasn't won jack **** for who knows what. And I think we'll be the better for it.

If Trev wants to make a statement he'd go hire Vitello, but we all know he's too stupid to even try.

A day ago I'd have said hell no, but wouldn't it be some good karma for Vitello to come here and beat former coach again? It's obvious now he knew the REAL former coach!

Again, coaches are EMPLOYEES. We may want to believe that they are 'one of us' or they 'get us'. They don't. And they don't care to. Ever. D1 P5 coaches are sheltered in very thin air behind dozens of closed doors and PR consultants. Trust me your girlfriend's neighbor's cousin's hairdresser's mother doesn't know Jack s##t about what any donors may think or control. The players and their parents don't know. The big donors don't know either. *****n has pilfered many coaches thru the years and rarely has it worked out the way they thought. Let it ride and move on to the next sports executive. He will be gone soon too and the handwringing and crying will start all over again.

No one is arguing the point that coaches aren't mercenaries. They are.

Like I posted a few months back Vitello is a showman. Many people do think he is a nice guy case in point one my best friends son plays for Queens university. They played Tenn in a midweek game this season. He met that team the day before and took the Queens entire team and staff out to dinner in Knoxville the night before. I've never heard of Schlossnagle doing that for anyone.

I still think vitello is a hothead. He's an honest one though.
