Gage Wood. First SEC start this year.
Was a closer last year as a true freshman and has only started once this year (against Missouri State). Freshman All-SEC Team last year.
I think we are going to be able to get some runs on this guy early, but his stats are pretty good:
3-1 record, 3.03 ERA, 19 games pitched. 29.2 IP
25 hits
12 runs
2 homers
44 punchouts against 7 BB.
We will see how he handles his first start on the big stage in a hostile environment.
