My Dad was a Cardinals fan also. Lots of Houston people his age were Card fans. Before the Colt 45's/Astros, the Houston Buffs were a farm club of the Cardinals for many years. Dizzy Dean, among a number of future Cards, played for the Buffs before heading to the big old, old Busch 1 aka Sportsman Park or whatever the then name was.

That's pretty cool. I did not know that history. I'm a Cards fan and used to live in H-town. But I'm a red birds fan bc I have family from southern Illinois.
Wake has played themselves out of and semblance of a Top 8 losing 2 straight at home to the Wolfpack. May be hard to play themselves out of the Top 16 but they're trying. Wolfpack might be on the good side of the host bubble now.

Assuredly no, strong chance however. I will be pleasantly surprised if it does not occur.
