You should probably realize that this is pretty close to the worst time of the season to start playing poorly. You generally would like to start playing your best baseball from here on. Not the opposite.

Lose the condescension. The worst time to play poorly is regionals onward. Coming out of a funk just in time for regionals would be perfectly fine.
