Which coach pitches to which team? Does the team's own coach pitch to them or does the opposing coach pitch to them?McInnis said:annie88 said:AgEng06 said:Hey...so.. um said:
Is it frowned upon to watch the game on my phone while coaching 3rd base for my son's t-ball game? Asking for a friend.
Nah, you're good, it's just T-ball.
I may have a harder time though in my son's 8u game because I'm the pitcher.
Wow, I didn't know that parents pitched in games now interesting. I played a little for fun softball growing up and we never had adults in the game and my brother played baseball from about seven or eight and they never did was back in the dark ages in the 70s.
How old are they when they start having a pitcher? And out of curiosity, what is the logic?
Dad pitch has been around since at least the early 90s when my son played. It's a transition from t-ball to kid pitch. Most 7 or 8 year olds can't throw enough strikes to make games much fun and batters aren't as afraid of getting hit by a pitch if grown ups pitch.
Sometimes the best teams are the ones that have a dad who's good at throwing the ball to where the batter swings.

I do really like the Mario death sound when a fly ball is caught.
