It was obvious we were not up to billing due to starting pitching just a few weeks into the season.
The guys battled hard to get here which was a fun ride, stanford is just the better team. They will be punching a ticket to Omaha next weekend.

Minnich is and has been hurt all year. Not surprised by any inconsistency
People always criticize opposing coaches for this. But it works and wins them games. For Augie, it won him a championship at tu and he had a lot of success there. Heck, Wacha threw in 2011 on short rest in game 7 for us.Aston 91 said:

Do we have a team leader on this team? I can't recall seeing anybody stepping up, gathering the guys around and pumping everybody up when things have been not going well.

Just 2-3 weeks ago I was just praying we'd make post season but felt we would be no threat if we did. That tourney run and 2-0 regional start sure got me excited though.

They really need to stop acting like this coach would never do anything to risk the health of one of his pitchers. I don't particularly care for going 110+ pitches in an outing with a college pitcher. Much less bringing him back on short rest to go 60+.
