4 hits collectively by all the upperclassmen in an elimination game says all that needs to be said about the 2023 squad. They just didn't show up in the big moments most of the season despite being given an automatic write-in on the lineup card. Schloss did his part. It would have been nice to see them go out with a more competitive showing.
I say this hoping I eat crow, but let this be a lesson to the NCAA Selection Committee. No one forces us into a Super Regional with tu and gets away with it.
Does Gumby come back out for the ninth? 180 pitches since Friday, but at least the Stanford coach asked him if he wanted to pitch before riding him into the ground.
