Ironically, it was never even close to full unless Texas, or Baylor were in town, or the post season tournament was being played here. To get to a crowd of 10,000, you've got to find a place for the students to come in masse and party their jorts off. That's what it will take.

In my opinion, and if I were king for a day, I wouldn't touch the stadium within the next five years, and focus more so on paying kids to come play here. Then, when the time is right, bulldoze the entire thing and start over.

we need players not suites

I tend to agree. So win with NIL and then build a great new stadium with the money that brings.

You can be my king for a day.

Thank you sir!
Yes, and by that time, if there is any debt service left on the last renovation, roll it into the new package and make this a fifty year stadium.

I know nothing about money stuff.

Why I am still working.

My understanding is Coach really wants a greenfield project back toward the Bush Library

Cool. Make it even harder for students to get there.

The vast vast vast majority of students live off campus. Moving the stadium 1/2 mile to the West would make zero difference.

Only thing making it harder for students, is taking GA and selling it as reserved seating

Nothing is going to happen until Schloss gets his **** together and start recruiting guys in to win like we were told……

He's the best coach in A&M baseball history after only one season. He will, but we need to give him literally whatever he wants imo. Football is a blackhole. I say we sell our souls and win a baseball natty. We have got to copy what LSU did to get their team. In this day and age of NIL and Portal, LSU showed us a rebuild shouldn't last more than one season if you're serious.

I really think we have to move Olsen to get what we want and need.

There is simply not enough room.

1000% agree with Derm. If you're gonna do it, you can't have limitations that hinder what you really want, otherwise the problems with keeping up with upgrades etc will keep arising.

Exactly. You have to look years down the road and not be "landlocked" for future expansion or changes.

We should have learned that from the last Olsen renovation.

Only if you consider taking the 12-15,000 students who live within walking distance and making it a drive for them to be "0% difference".

And also ignore that this is the group of students is the most likely to attend.

If you are building the stadium for non-students, then why not build it in South College Station and partner with someone to bring the Astros AA team here from Corpus.

They can run buses. Students walk/bike/drive/ride scooters/ bus to west campus every day

How many consecutive national championships could you buy if you invested everything into NIL realizing that facilities have become a secondary factor post NIL?

This isn't that part of west campus.

Your proposal is building something so far away that students take a bus to get there.

That is an enormous problem.
75AG
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't have a proposal. I'm saying with all the buildings and classrooms on west campus, building a new stadium on west campus would not be a significant hindrance to student attendance. I don't think anyone's talking about building near Easterwood or Rellis.

So the best coach in A&M history didn't know he could reload in one season by utilizing the portal?

I, and others, prefer next to the Bonfire memorial to tie into Century Square.

The area by the Bush Library is an option. But there are others.

I just hope that they keep the second deck design like the current blue bell or like Dudy. Outfield decks like the old Globe life or like the one at Dell Diamond.

I would find a way to mimic Arkansas. Spent weekend there and you have all types of options to enjoy game. Cheap seats are the most fun.

Nope. It's overall. Omaha wins matter the most.

All I know is Schloss loves A&M and thinks we deserve the best stadium, atmosphere, players, and results.

And he has a vision to achieve that goal.

Hop aboard.

I thought I heard that the area for across from Century Square near the Bonfire Memorial was slotted for the $100-million plus museum of natural history that the BOR approved last year.

You may be right and I am not in that loop.

It seems to me the logical thing would be to put the Museum of Natural History next to the Bush Library and the baseball stadium where it could connect with Century Square and be closer for students.

I have heard that Luicci has mentioned that West Campus new build is off the table but I've heard nothing about the area mentioned across from Century Square.

Anyone know if this area that derm is mentioning is being given serious consideration or is the footprint to remain where it is?

My daughter (soph in HS) toured the school of visualization and they're getting a new building over there that is the "last development" in that area.

I don't think a ballpark would be in the mix.

Please build a new park. Or I guess they could tear it down and move the entire footprint back to give more room. We could play one season at the bombers park
